Fair play to Top, he’s listened to the fans, seen the strength of feeling and joined the boycott last night to get closer to the fans. What a powerful statement by our owner and acting CEO. 🫶🦊

I hope the criticisms for him end now!  💙

He's been leading by example by boycotting for most of the season. The bloke's a pioneer.

IF top doesn’t attend the next 2 home games, the 3rd game is exactly 4 months since his interview.

he’s been here once in that time. But it’s fine.. because his family deserves our loyalty as we won some trophies 🙄

Ironically WBA's owner there last night, flying in from Miami (most likely to push the button on Mason's sacking) but still.

It's incredible that he and his advisors can't see the impact of being present would have had last night.

Tbf in that one visit he handed out some filbert foxes to the kids in the posh seats in front of him (that probably get 3 a year) so fair play to him. That covers for his lack of attendance/interest and then some. Well done Top 🫶🦊💙

How many times has he actually been this season?

Stoke and Wrexham most 'recently'.... not sure about before that.

He's also been in the country twice and not attended/left in between games. Presumably to do with court cases.

Was always going to attend the Wrexham one due to the Hollywood connections

No doubt his entourage are hoping to meet the Wrexham owners and get some selfies.

It’s clear by now that Top sees this club as a way to network with other elites and elevate his status.

There’s no genuine care there it’s just for his image. Now we aren’t playing big clubs anymore with their wealthy backers there’s no point him coming.

Who does he network with?

I'd have a bit more time for him if he was networking with entrepreneurs and businesses that brought in revenue and opportunities.

Top would've been there last night if it was a PL game against one of 'the big six'.

There's people willing to punch their own fans to defend someone who doesn't even want to be around the club himself.

literally this, it's incredible isn't it. These people live amongst us

Key themes from the statement and what has actually happened:

  • Rebuilding Phase: The club is in a rebuilding phase, similar to a Championship team needing time to grow, acknowledging the difficulties after Premier League stints and relegation.

Yes the club does need to rebuild, so you would expect a busy January, players and loans out already arranged for the 1st week of January especially for those players that have been effectively removed from action... Carranza's loan ended, we would have a replacement lined up... No - actually no action, we are going to rebuild by taking no proactive steps whatsoever

Time & Effort: Success won't be immediate; it requires sustained effort and patience, a realistic approach he wants fans to understand.

We actively see the board NOT taking time or effort to the running of the club. The owner and current CEO is notable by his absense

  • Reconnect with Fans: He's committed to better communication, transparency, and rebuilding trust after a period where it diminished.

2 Months later, no further communication, transparency or attempting to rebuild any connection - Fails to even acknowledge the fans boycott and protest

  • Strategic Changes: Plans include appointing a technical director to assist the Director of Football (Jon Rudkin) with transfers and strategy.

Again, no further action has taken place - proving the club had not even thought about this prior to the statement and was just looking for words - the board have needed help for years and it has been ignored

  • Accountability: He accepts responsibility for recent struggles, including relegation, and is working to get the club back on track.

This appears to mean stop blaming Rudkin... and also he is only going to take accountability from the comfort of 7000 miles away and as long as it involves answering no questions or any further acknowledgement. Meanwhile we won't pay our hardworking staff in time for Christmas and take away any perk of being a steward like eating

Not for the first time Top has made a statement that he wrote in the 10 minutes it took to shave before making it, with no interest in any follow through. He honestly has no clue what to do and will stay away avoiding any difficult conversation
