To be honest him and Ayew will scratch an itch I've had since the brief pairing of Nathan Blake and Dion Dublin. The question is, when do either move back to CB to help out.

We are a disgrace of a football club. Sadly I was told about this a few days ago and hoped it was a joke.

Wouldn’t want him even If he hadn’t bashed his legs to bits. It’s going to take an age to get match fit.

Put the wages towards a fee and cheaper player who isn’t closer to 40 than 30.

Apparently having valid reservations is narrative-fitting moaning brother

75% antonio is better than Daka or Rapunzel or whatever his name is. He will get us up the pitch better than any of our other 'centre forwards' currently do and might actually be between the penalty spot and six yard box when a cross comes in. heaven forbid.

beggars cant be choosers.

and our centre forward begging bowl is well and truly out...

if we do this it will be a mistake. he had dropped off a cliff for West Ham and it was only their own poor squad and general crapness (sound familiar?) that kept him relevant in the last 2 seasons.

But what next? Is Antonio the needle mover that gets us into the play-offs? Probably not. Then what?

I'm 95% against this, but we have signed some decent old timers in the past who did ok on a short term basis. Cottee, Speedie and Phillips for example, but I appreciate these hadn't had a seriously bad injury prior to joining us.

If he can prove himself during training and is fit, no brainer for me (6 month contract though)

The face you pull when you remember the players he’s competing with in training to prove himself

Either a complete disaster or magnificent inspiration. My head says he was already a bit-part player at West Ham, and the car crash as good as brought his career to an end. That we are the only club to pursue him, halfway through this season, raises huge red flags. How desperate we have become.

Give him 4 weeks. See how he goes can't be any worse than the current dross in the squad.

Daka off to Afcon, done nothing.

Carranza has shown nothing to date this season

Evans hasn't played and hasn't the experience at this level.

You'd probably put him in the same category as Ayew. Good squad player, occasionally offers something decent but ultimately past it.

Which puts him at 3rd name on the team sheet!

Just 1 goal in 836 minutes last season. That's a lower goals per minute ratio than all of Ayew, Daka and BDCR. And this was BEFORE the accident.

Wow. Real facts / stats can be really brutal!!
