I’d say 26-27k.

It’s like people can’t remember what 23k actually looked when we were I the championship pre-2014

I'd say closer to 30k than 20k.

Thats a shame. We need to bring that number closer to zero.

Still baffles me that Leicester City customers are still financially supporting this ownership.

Why was the official attendance v Boro on that Friday night then given as the 8k it was in that case?

I Don’t know when counting tickets sold or allocated became common practice. The Boro game was nearly 13 years ago. That 8k official attendance figure looked exaggerated,so you could say even that was a lie.

I had a while row to myself in those times. Always got other mates tickets next to me, no problem.

Seriously though, why no official attendance published for the Watford match?

Are they becoming embarrassed to keep announcing 28/29k when there is actually only 23/24k in attendance?

I said before those games after christmas are always well attended even if we're struggling.  I'm sure they'll drop is we continue our decline.

Yup. After the new year it'll be about 24-25k I reckon. If performances dont improve, then it could be less.

Well a temporary success does create a temporary fan base. Thats why the atmosphere is so weak, loads of people in the stadium aren’t actual fans they’ve just been enjoying a purple patch and there are far too many people just sat doing nothing and making no noise. You couldn’t give tickets away before the great escape, and it’ll quickly revert to that reality.

I think you've (correctly) answered your own question.

Funny how we've been able to announce match attendances for the last 60 years, but apparently now it's beyond them.   It's been like like for most of the recent home games.

The club can't even do the absolute basics now ...........

30.485 just quoted as the official attendance for the Watford game.

I think it's becoming apparent why they're no longer quoting "official attendances" until several days after a match, when everyone's attention has moved elsewhere ........

There were 1500 empty seats in the away end lol

A mate has passed me this from Leicester City council in response to a FOI request for ‘real’ attendance figures:

‘The Council does not hold this information. Therefore this letter acts as a refusal notice under section 17.1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 because, in accordance with section 1.1 of the Act, this information is not held by Leicester City Council.

We do issue a general Safety Certificate for Leicester City Football Club, but this states a maximum capacity that the ground can hold on matchdays. There is no requirement for the club to share attendance figures for any match‘

If the council don’t hold the figures then who will, other than the Police?

Why waste the Council and the Police time for this?

It’s in the public interest
