I don't think it would  work anyway. When he was with us he had players that would run into a battle in walsh , players that wanted to win on the way up like lennon, muzzy, elliot, Heskey.  They were all progressing.  This bunch of shit is regressing. On their ways down picking up pay days. Half on their way out in may with no ****s given. To play all the kids may destroy  them. The club really is in the shit.

I cannot see what would be in it for him. Would it be a six month contract then reassess? Two and a half years straight away?

This job is far bigger than just lifting the players for a short period of time like Celtic. He should steer well clear.

One of my fave ever managers, was so good in his day for our club. But no i wouldnt want him to return. Leave the legacy he left, as that and not tarnish it with the shit we have going on right now.

We need to be looking forward and finding a new MoN/Pearson, not going back to something that worked 30 years ago. Not that i have much (if any) faith the current the regime is going to be able to do that, but we have to try if we want to progress as a club.

It won't happen and the game has passed him by to some extent, but it would at least inject a bit of excitement and passion into the whole thing which is a start at least, even if the results weren't great.

Honestly with how sh*t  I feel about the club and football at the moment, anything but Pearson or MON is just a big “meh” to me

I feel like we need it just to re-energize us. We have no patience left so you either need a nostalgia boost or someone to come in and hit the ground running, which is unlikely given they’ve been coached by imbeciles for a year and a half now

Just read his latest book The Changing Game & the game has definitely not passed him by as his interim spell at Celtic confirms.

His finger is firmly on the pulse of modern management.

Along with Claudio, the best man manager we have ever had.

Offer him a contract until the end if the season, a few quid to strengthen in January & watch us improve dramatically.

Sadly I doubt the club would ever consider such an offer to him.

To be relevant again maybe.

The time at Celtic could have whet his appetite to be back in club football.

He must have loved the adoration during his short stint there. The new guy seems to have already lost that good feeling about the place after only a few games.

Obviously he might think we are a hiding to nothing and that’s fair enough if so. He has nothing to prove here.

He very much remembers the stick he got during the first dozen-ish games here, when there wasn't any great or sudden change in our circumstances.

He went to Celtic knowing that he could phone it in. Anyone except Nancy could manage Celtic to the SPL title. I'm sure he's well aware of what's happening here and won't want to go through a similar situation again.

100% it's not like he hasn't managed recently and the deal would probably only run to the the end of the season.

If he keeps us up then that will be ok, if he gets us into the playoffs even better.

If we want to have a shot at getting into the playoffs and filling the stadium again this is the only option imo.

Playoffs ?

we’re going nowhere near them….only downwards
