Doubtful, if anyone's way of ''escaping'' is watching us then............

It feels like that at the minute, but for many people football is a change to reality.

Anyone who is going tonight and isn’t happy with the state of the club be careful you don’t make your discontent verbal. It may end up with you being physically attacked for having an opinion.

It is a sad world we are living in. Everyone has a right to free speech without being thumped. Not everyone is happy with the way the club is being run. They have a right to be heard.

The owners are poor. The Board is useless. The manger needs to go. Many of the players are very dislikable. Still my football club and I'll attend tonight because I want to. My attendance isn't an acceptance of what is going on. I want to attend because it's my club not theirs - none of them.

Technically Top owns it

Yes of course he does but I'm sure you get the point I am trying to make. He is the current owner/custodian One day he will sell. We will be here forever.

Other than Enzo’s season. In the last three years this side hasn’t deserved a cheer, there’s been no effort, there’s been nothing.

This is the denial phase. You will soon come round pal.

Paying a penny towards the club is facilitating whats going on.

By extension, supporting the continuity of this ownership.

It might be a tough pill to swallow at first, but we've all had to go through it and accept it.

You are encouraging a toxic atmosphere at the ground which hardly helps the players when things are difficult on the pitch as well as off.  Didn't realise it needed spelling out.

this is literally the mindset of all the fans who are attending tonight.

You do realise most of the players who are on massively inflated wages don't want to be at Leicester City? but some fans not planning to not go to tonights game because we demand change means the players can't create motivation to perform in their day job? that they get paid millions of pounds to have the privilege of? good grief. I give up at this point

This ladies and gentleman is why we are a sinking ship

However I’m not a happy clapper. The idea that fans that don’t boycott are blind the bin fire the club has become off the pitch and lack of effort on it is ridiculous.

Whilst recognising the disease, I just don’t agree that the proposed medicine is affective.

However, looking at the ticket availability (my wife is away so the ticket is up in hope rather than expectation) I doubt I’ll be queuing long for the toilets.

(first post as I use the board for info only before I’m accused of being a plant)

Fair enough, what would you suggest the fans do to encourage and build momentum for the significant change that we so badly need? Hoping that everything sorts itself out in due course without any fan involvement is unfortunately naive at best isn't it. I'm interested to hear fans view points on this, there's certainly more than one way of doing things so this is not a case of right or wrong but we are in a position where a good chunk of our fanbase are still finding it difficult to grasp the magnitude of what has happened here and how unacceptable that is.

Efforts of what? Being 14th in the Second Division of English football? lol

The club already have my money for my season ticket, not attending isn't going to make any difference to that

If I see any this season, I’ll happily clap along like a ****ing sea lion.

At minimum it will help to show one more empty seat, plus as long as your intention from today on is to never contribute financially, then thats good.

I'm not going to hound you for renewing last year, not everyone joins the boycott at the same time. As long as you've joined now, thats what matters.

I personally started boycotting since last January after the defeat at Villa Park, which coincided with news that there won't be any January transfers to bolster our PL survival.

Welcome to the forum I guess!

Many fans will go who can recognise the issues of course. But there are many many thousands who are blind to just what you have said. Of course, yeah it doesn’t mean everyone who goes ahead and attends tonight that is the case for. Obviously it’s shame the fan base can’t have a more unified effort in forcing positive change for the club but there we go. Everybody is entitled to make their own choices.

What do you think is the medicine needed as per your choice of words there? And more importantly, what could encourage the backing of more people? (Excluding those who are blind to the problems and just worship the owner as they are a different story).

I don’t have strong views on the ownership but rather the executives the ownership has put in place.

Rudkin should go, not because the fans don’t like him but rather because he has done a poor job over an extended period of time. Some of the signings beggar belief considering the money spent as we are all aware.

He’s not responsible for highly paid players choosing to soft pedal because they don’t want to be here. That’s on them.

Realisticly, a successful season from here would be:

a. Change to the execs

b. Take whatever points deduction we get to put that chapter to bed

c. Get rid of the expensive dead wood

d. Don’t get relegated

e. Build again

I think b-e was the boards plan for this season all along. A bit like when Jimmy Stewart uses a starter cartridge to clean out the engine - they aren’t going to say ‘we are burning this season because of the mess we have got ourselves in’.

The phoenix did fly again though.

I went for a very rare trip to my facebook account the other day, some of the deluded crap people are posting on their about us insane.

Just because you financed our success doesnt give you the right to cut our heads off afterwards.

Tops lost interest, KP have clipped his wings and we are in free fall. For many of us the club is a big part of our life and a family, for King Power its business. They will forever have their brand on the Premier League winners photo, marketing mission accomplished. Without Vichai their is no love anymore and we're just a money pit they dont want to throw cash into whilst their core business is struggling.

But sometimes the players efforts are fvcking pathetic as well.

It's just indicative of the whole malaise and grey cloud over-shadowing every aspect of the club right now. Good performances or wins are the exception these days.

Exactly the same could be said of Top

Still yet to see a valid argument for people attending tonight apart from "i'll always back the lads through the good times and the bad"

Are people actually too thick to realise that just blindly attending won't create the change needed to stop us from getting into further trouble.

Mind blowing

Yep they voted brexit and then reform so....

I have emailed Marti with explicit tactical instructuons for this eve. I have also included contingencies for diff scenarios depending on what unfolds. I expect him to translate these coherently to the squad and motivate them accordingly.

Of course I haven't done any of the above,  as that would just be common fecking sense for a proper manager.

Christ, so basically a happy clapper then lol

Lose by 3 goals multiple times and they deserve clapping off? Great effort lads.
