When I started watching Leicester in the early 80's we were a bang average, mid table, second tier team - just like now.

 

The club had no money and little hope back then but the players cared. Despite their limited talent, they worked their nuts off and gave everything for the cause.

 

That's all I ask of this lot. Just look like you're trying FFS.

Spot on. Players like Coatsworth epitomise that period for me. They were very limited but as you say they always tried their best and worked hard. I'm not seeing that right now.

Feel for the younger players who have poor role models to look up to and respect.

They need a reality check. Put them all on performance based pay instead of inflated salaries and see if that makes a difference.

I think this is actually a worrying possibility in the short to medium term. With no money, useless recruitment department and a hopeless DOF the future looks pretty bleak for the next 5 or so years.

We did it and got much worse. Incredible levels of incompetence, by people still in post. We are on the precipice of falling much further than our one season in League One imo.

We’re entering a very dark period for the club. We’re just at the start of the worst demise in football history. We’re could even end up on league two at some point……. We’re that much of a mess.

My eyes are bleeding watching us play...forget the results (which in the main are pretty crap) the football (if you can call it that) we are showing is diabolical....it's like we're just hitting and hoping...passing with no idea where the next pass will go (probably to the opposition) doesn't help we don't have 1 leader on the pitch...our full back options are criminal and our striker spends most of the match on the floor or waving his arms about....other than that we're brilliant

The damage has already been done, this season it all comes to a head. 

 

There’s no reset coming…. There’s no spending a couple of years at this level to “get it right”‘there’s nothing to be right, Top hasn’t got the cash, and he can’t rely on KP anymore to bail him out. 
 

When you get these fools of things like Leicester fan tv, saying “I want Top to sort it out” I don’t think they actually realise the mess we are in, I don’t think some fans realise how deep this issue is. 
 

I can’t recall many times in history that even cash strapped clubs have done no business in their transfer windows…. Surely that alone pants a picture. 
 

In short, we are ****ed, how ****ed remains to be seen, following the points deduction…. But there’s no rebuild coming, just further erosion.

Coatsworth played in the 90s not early 80s.  Who could forget that up and under 'cross' for Walshie in the play off final?
