Unless he somehow managed to get an absoutely brilliant backroom staff with him (which I doubt the club would allow him to bring in) then no

 

He is only really a couple of years into coaching and this would be very much the definition of thrown in at the deep end

 

He might not even want to be a manager as well

The only way I’d want King is if he had an experienced assistant with him. A sort of Taggart/Burrows arrangement. Otherwise (sounding a bit Roy Keane here) what’s he done on a coaching front to get this job - it’s a challenging job, with challenging circumstances. Probably the highest level of expectation in the league.

I’m happy for King to be around the club in a coaching capacity, but with zero managerial experience, he should be nowhere near consideration for the managers job, even as an interim. 
 

If he has aspirations of being a manager, he needs to go off and do what Fuchs is doing. Get out there and prove yourself at a lower level, work your way up.
