The fact we aren't even speaking with him, shows we are ****ed. Rudkin needs to **** off, get Nig in the building in any capacity if he's well enough.

There may be legs in this.

The only way they can get bums on seats and win back part of the crowd would be to bring the King home for a third time.

Is he even able to walk at the moment?

He doesn't need to run about, just get 11 other guys to!

I remember when he used to sit in the stands rather than touchline.

We need him back in whatever managerial role possible. It doesn't even have to be on the sidelines.

He knows the club well, there's shared history, it's worked twice before.

It just makes sense.

Make it happen.

Should it happen? Yes?

Will it happen? No.

I'm still hopeful that one day we will see him in a director's role, whether that's DOF or Technical Director. But his health is more important, and I can imagine his blood pressure would spike every time he clocks Rudders in the corridor. I also would question quite how much appetite he'd have to yet again be tasked with taking a hatchet to our mess of a squad - I imagine it was bad enough having to do it the second time post-Sven when he was in good health, I wouldn't fancy the cortisol spikes of having to take the Matt Mills approach to the likes of Winks, Ayew, Vestergaard and whoever else when you've been through long covid and struggle to walk nowadays.

Plus there's the obvious elephant in the room - it was apparently Top that made the call to 'sack' him in early 2015 before Vichai rolled that back and the rest of the story unfolded. I don't believe he'd want to work with the current hierarchy regardless of how much say he'd have on the future trajectory of the club. Why would he want to help save face for someone who couldn't wait to get rid of him during the great escape season?

If the dream scenario ever unfolds and Top sells up, that's the point at which I think he hopefully comes back in that role. It would be the obvious way for any new owner to gain fans' trust. But in a similar way to how I don't want Kingy to get the manager role right now and have his legacy tarnished by what seems like a potential disaster waiting to happen, I don't want Top and Rudkin wheeling out Big Nige to distract the fanbase from what a mess they've made of LCFC both on the pitch and financially.

If he's healthy or improved which I've seen reports suggesting he is in a place where he wants to get back into football we should definitely bring him back. He would be amazing and the obvious choice so no chance too or rudkin go for it

Other way around wasn't it? This comes up often enough that I regularly end up double checking and according to Henry Winter and James Nursey it was Vichai who made the call and was subsequently persuaded otherwise. Besides which, Pearson also went to work for Top at Leuven so unless that sacking played out particularly badly there can't be that much bad blood between them.

Do it in the same role as O’Neill at Celtic. I can’t think of a personality in world football who is better suited to the predicament we find ourselves in.

I also think that the club must be aware of the high volume of terrible decisions they have made in recent times. They need to get the fans back on side. Who else could be as popular with the fans as this?

We need him (or mythical equivalent?) just to stop the rot and re-establish the standards and culture Leicester City were known for. We couldn't be mad at him if he failed either as it is basically a rip it up and start again job at this point. The whole structure of the club needs fixing before any manager can achieve anything.

Also Rudkin might finally get his scorecard marked and his clock cleaned.

Heart: Yes- I want him to sort out the players

Head: No- We haven't the depth of player replacements (and can't replace them in the transfer market) to back Nigel when the fallouts happen.

Conclusion: Now is the wrong time. If he comes back it's from the moment we are safe from relegation so he can look at the squad and reshape it in the summer.

He was hired for Leuven under Vichai

We need an O'Neill. A wise old head that can get a tune out of the players we have. Someone who knows who needs a nudge and can take a nudge or who needs a hug. We need someone to come in and simplify everything. To build a base the next person can build upon.

It's like reminiscing about an ex.

Just move on.

Thing is, if said ex is single, didn’t do much wrong in the first place, and your recent girlfriends have all ended up having the personality of a brick wall, you’d be inclined to ask for her back.

But if I actually liked her and she had been unwell, I would not ask her to do a marathon with me....

Nigel should have whatever job he feels fit to do. Whether that be interim coach or DoF, lifetime president or advisor. I remember when Bobby Charlton was on the board at Man Utd - a legend watching  every game with his aura and high-levels emanating through all levels of the club. It's a completely open goal by the club but one they will miss no doubt.

His time was 11/12 years ago everywhere he’s been since has ended with the sack leave his time with us in the history of LCFC and move forward not backward.

Would Pearson improve us? Yes. Would I love to listen to his no-nonsense wisdom on a regular basis? Also yes. Would it be the one way we could get our club buzzing...I'd say so

It's not going to happen sadly, and all that really matters is that Nige is happy and healthy wherever he finds himself. He owes us nothing. The man is an utter legend, on a pedestal with Vards

Also do not think I could cope if Nige left us again! Might finish me off. (On that basis the only way he is allowed back is as head of new ownership consortium, to take every decision forever!)

Do I want it to happen? Yes

Would he get the crowd on side? Yes

Do I love him? Yes

Do you love him? Yes

Yes? YES

YES? YESSSS
