He is more of a builder than a fixer in my opinion. Give him time and he will build and mould a great team, but ask him to rearrange the deckchairs on this titanic with nothing to help him seems a steep ask.

Also probably doubt Top and him are close after his son's antics that seemingly set us on the path to winning the Premier league 🤣

Agree with this. Pearson’s great strength is culture building. Given time, he would get rid of the bad eggs and recruit well, slowing transforming the atmosphere around the club. But right now we’re in crisis management territory. Whoever comes in will have to work with the squad we’ve got until the summer. We need a firefighter snd I’m not sure that’s Pearson’s strength.

I don’t believe Pearson will be able to ruin his image or reputation by coming back. His cult status is secure and set in stone.

First of all, let’s point out that he recently stated in an interview that he went hiking to learn how to walk again. It’s possible there’s some misunderstanding by what he meant by “ learn how to walk again” I don’t believe he meant putting one step in front of the other ( you go to a rehab center for that). I think he meant gaining strength and building up muscle.

with that being said, all he’d have to do is walk around the training pitch ( occasionally) looking stern faced and issue a few rollickings, sit in his office with staff and sort out tactics and team selections and maybe give some input on last minute loans and summer recruitment.

all the donkey work on the training ground could be done by Andy King

besides, being at seagrave a couple hours a day to work on his own strength and conditioning would help him too.

Heart says yes, head says no.

This is probably the correct answer. Would absolutely LOVE him back but it’s not sensible for us or him given his health issues. His health has to come first.

A lots changed, how could his brain handle players on 70k plus not scoring or contributing. This shit show of overpaid players that offer next to nothing would probably shorten his life span

He’s a smart guy and I think he’s adaptable enough. We had a few “overpaid” players before his second stint (not to the same extent as now), the likes of mills and beckford and iirc he managed to get the squad leaner again.

He won't come back, after the way he was sacked and Top will struggle to look past that infamous video

Both will butt heads

He managed Top's other club Leuven after the infamous video.

I'm not making this up. I've got an eye issue where I've got pretty bad light sensitivity so got all my phone on dark mode and an app to lower brightness past what android can.

Was scrolling down and those trainers have just caused excruciating pain! Had to quicky scroll on!

If he didn't have the health problems, I would take him back right now. I think he would grind out some wins for us. However, I think there are better options out there. He also hasn't Managed or taken a training session for well over 2 years now.

I would like to see him get back into Management with a midtable League 1 club and rebuild his career that way. Maybe be back for us one day, but not yet.

I understand we should embrace the democratic process and everything, but I’d like the full names and addresses of everyone who has voted no, please!

Im normally a firm no when this topic rears its head but we're in such a terrible state and the other options aren't a great deal better so id at least consider it ... Still shouldnt have him back though.

As mentioned he's more a builder than a guy who will get instant results, took most of a season and 2 transfer windows to really improve on Svens team, 'he needs his own players' was the constant cry on here and he wont be getting them this time. Furthermore the man who found those players wont be with him and neither of course will Shakespeare and his record as a manager without them is mediocre to say the least.  As with most of our possible managerial options League One almost certainly awaits with him in charge.
