Collymore Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Nothing has changed. Yes some new players in but unless someone comes in and changes the fundamental way we play we're doomed. King doesn't look like he's the one. 3
Rubbersoul Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Don’t get me wrong he clearly isn’t the guy but that’s now two absolute howlers in two games. 3

Even Pep ain't turning that round in 10 days, He's half a new team and Okoli and RP both let him down to early in games. Not really sure what people are expecting, we are in a dogfight 2
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Feel sorry for the bloke when got international experienced players making stupid brain dead mistakes.
fox_up_north Posted 7 February Posted 7 February King has been given a hand full of jokers. It's not like he told Ricardo to make an absolute playground balls up of a most basic bit of control 1
David Hankey Posted 7 February Posted 7 February What a silly topic. Whoever is manager there will always someone who want that person out, barmy!! 1
Foxin_Mad Posted 7 February Posted 7 February (edited) We probably need to sink to the bottom before we can begin to fix this. Clear all of these players out. I’m not sure any manager gets much out of these. Right now Warnock till the end of the season is possibly the only thing we can try Edited 7 February by Foxin_Mad
Popular Post Lambert09 Posted 7 February Popular Post Posted 7 February Got to feel for king. Can’t even showcase any of what he’s worked on because in both games peoples individual brain dead moments have killed the games. 2 needless red cards 6

I don't think he's the answer either but he's been handed more than just a bad hand. The application/pressing has been way beyond anything we've seen this season but obviously we can't do that now and we'll have to sit in and accept our fate.

Not sure he can do when his had players get sent off in both games. 2
Foxin_Mad Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Actually a few things have changed, they are running more and the press is slightly better than under the fraud 3
Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 7 February Popular Post Posted 7 February I feel awful for King. He may turn out to be hopeless as a manager, but shocking decisions by more senior players in both of his two games has left him in the mud. I can't think of any manager that has been this unlucky in his first two games. 13
squidsworth Posted 7 February Posted 7 February (edited) Is it king picking these players and tactics? If so it does come back to him, he's the manager and the leader of them! Not like he has just arrived, he knows all about the squad and it's players and he should be drilling into them what's required and at least some standards of professionalism expected. Clearly that's missing, they are even more renegade than they were, and that's an achievement in itself! Edited 7 February by squidsworth 1
cruzFOX Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Kingy doesn’t get off the hook for me. He knows these players he’s not just walked into the club. He’s worked under several managers. There is something very very basic he is NOT addressing. Put aside all the tactics and strategy he needs to sort out the II discipline and lack of focus. Just some weirdo behaviour from some of our players. The players that are locked in are gonna get frustrated pretty soon if some of the bozos don’t get their action together asap. 2
Popular Post TheGoldenGod Posted 7 February Popular Post Posted 7 February Can't believe King is getting it in the neck unironically after two games where hes had to manage it with 10 men for the majority...what ****ing miracle you want him to work? 9
cruzFOX Posted 7 February Posted 7 February We can still be critical of Kingy while supporting him. The whole team needs to be on the same page and right now they clearly are not and it’s kingy’s problem to fix 1
Chelmofox Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Its just the same. Hes not the answer, and i have a horrible feeling massively out of his depth just as a coach. 2
beepee1984 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February He is out of his depth Reid offered nothing defensively anyway, so him being sent off should not have made that much defensive problem Winks for Mavididi switch ensured we offered nothing on the counter, Winks is needed when we control possession, not when we are about to have a half off 22% possession. In the second half we should have been playing on the counter and we needed speed. King chose to nullify any possibility of the counter with a player that was never suited to the game It was such a strange sub 1
Raj Posted 7 February Posted 7 February 🤣🤣🤣 was just a yes man of Top, why did any of you think he was any different ffs. He was there under Ruud and Marti and is part of the problem. Let him keep his status as a legendary player and dont let him be another on the wage list being Tops yes man 1 1
beepee1984 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Offered nothing again, Outplayed with 11, decided not to play after going to 10 - took off the counter option at HT
moore_94 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February (edited) He has only been full time coaching for about 18 months, and has mainly been focused on the youth and bring them through into the first team (the only semi-decent bit about the club) - saying he is part of the problem with the way the senior team is being coached and managed is fvcking ridiculous It is also absolutely ridiculous that he has been thrown into this position as interim Edited 7 February by moore_94 4

Okoli, Ricardo and Reid all with absolutely unforgivable errors, you can't account for that in the week. A coach for under 2 years is and was always going to struggle to right wrongs of 3 or 4 years in 2 weeks. 1

Blue.Fox84 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Isn’t the problem and unfortunately isn’t the solution either Put Pep, Mourinho etc in charge of these and they’ll struggle. Until some of this deadwood is gone nothing will change no matter who is in charge Recruitment is a huge concern at this club as I fear we’ll get it wrong even when some of these have finally moved on
