Top is a f**king moron. If he’d spoken with Enzo BEFORE sacking Marti and got a deal in place then fair play. But to panic call him a week after is utter shambles.

Bingo. A quick thinking, leader would have had a proper manager ready to go for yesterday's crucial 6 pointer against Charlton. This has happened multiple times before with his dithering around too long and its continuing to hurt us.

Lots of dithering for sure, then he ends up hiring the worst option

For me, it does make sense.

The players loved him and his coaching apparently. Minus a decent striker, left back and a ball-playing GK, he’s pretty much got the same squad he had when we pissed it. I can see him using Nelson as a LCB and obviously Riccy moving into midfield as a converted RB.

Essentially, given the interview he did 4 hours before sacking him, the discussion didn’t go well, Marti was too honest and got a knee jerk sacking. Twat.

no, nay, never, playing this  backwards, sideways tippy tappy bollox has got us into this mess.  Charlton played route one hoof it up the pitch yesterday and we

couldn't cope.  Maresca has come and gone move on.

I can't see it happening but obviously if he's mad enough to come here we should get him in.

Would solve the "we've got no good fit full backs" problem as one would spend half the game in midfield while the other was basically a centre back :D

Every player who he had before could feasibly step up massively from what we're currently seeing. Ricardo, Veste, Winks, Mavididi and Fatawu were all team of the year candidates now playing as also-rans. I think he got much more out of duffers like Choudhury and Daka too.

It goes without saying he's tactically better than what we've had since, but more than that he seems to control locker rooms and knows how to handle big egos.

This squad is a million miles from the one he had previously. For a start your list is missing the best player in the league from that season (KDH) and Ndidi who was also pivotal in that team.

Seriously the arrogance, denial and delusions of grandeur with this football club have no bounds.

Dumb & Dumber live in an absolute fantasy world where they seriously believe that high profile Manager’s will fall at their feet for a chance to manage our club and they should be eternally grateful for the opportunity.

Well here’s the reality !
You have destroyed the club and its legacy

You no longer have the credibility to attract anyone of quality for many reasons.

As a club we deserve relegation and all that comes with it

He had the squad the most motivated it has been in the last five years but that squad was much better than this one.

What does he gain for doing this for three months? It makes little sense all round.

And 2 of the best midfielders the championship has ever seen in Dewsbury Hall and Ndidi

No for me. We could have smashed all kinds of records last time, but he would not change his style of play or adjust his tactics under any circumstances which led to us dropping points to mediocre sides. In the end that did not matter as he pissed the league, but our squad is significantly weaker and we do not have the time or resources to create a side for his tactics to work

Agree.
But I reckon they’ll be someone else who hasn’t been mentioned yet.
It happened with Cifuentes appointment

You may be right, same kinda happened with puel really.

Well, on paper - it isn’t (see above). You’re also forgetting James is a welcome addition and Skipp has finally started to look a better player.

I’m not saying we would piss it again by any means - but he should be able to give us a lift and I don’t think it would take long - as most of the players are still here and are used to his style.

18 months isn’t that long ago.

Two key elements of his success, along with KDH and Ndidi. Not sure Ricci P is the player he was two years ago and can't play 2 games a week (it looks like Choudhury is out for a while), who would partner Vestergaard now Faes has gone (perhaps Okoli) and unless Mavadidi finds some form that has been seriously lacking, half the team is missing from 2 years ago.

I don’t know what’s worse: Our board actually thinking it’s a good idea and that he might come or some of our fans thinking he’d be the right man to sort out this mess.

I’m not saying it’s gonna anyone better than Martin, Rowett and Coleman.
There’s more chance of it being someone worse.

If he doesn’t already know he’d take one look at this team and the mess top to bottom and run back to London.

Not a chance this will happen. He barely got us back with the team we had 2 and a half years ago that was far better: Vardy, Ndidi, Nacho, Dewsbury Hall etc.
