Let's say hypothetically, for some bizarre reason, Enzo did decide to come in till the end of the season, I can't figure out if it'd be a good thing, or a bad thing.

On the one hand, he was totally fixed with us to one system, and we don't have the players for that, but on the other hand players love him, and will probably give everything, but I just can't figure out why he'd come here, other than he thinks he's the second coming.

We absolutely would not find ourselves in the prem next season. 
 

best case scenario under Enzo is probably 7th-10th after pts deduction. Worst case scenario is relegation to league 1. That’s exactly why he won’t come.

Enzo won't come, but I'm backing him over anyone in the playoffs. 

Its not even a debate comparing him to anyone else in this league.

Maresca does not finish lower than 6th if he's in charge.

 

To think otherwise, is simply disrespectful and is the mindset of those that like to do Maresca revisionism.

With James fit I actually think we’d have the players to play his system, being as most of them played it before. We’d miss Kiernan but I think Enzo could get it to work

My caveat to your point would be Maresca doesn’t finish lower than 6th if he had the full season and a preseason to train with the players coming in now it’s a completely different story

We dont need Enzo to play with 2 8's and a 6. I'm surprised Kingy didn't bring winks straight back in and play that system with Page and Ricardo. Thats the system I posted in the Charlton thread

It’s not disrespectful, it’s realistic based on how shoddy our team is. How exactly is Enzo getting a similar tune out of this lot without vardy, kdh and even wilfs goal contributions? 
 

he would be good for a lot but at the end of the day while James is injured, I just don’t see how exactly we match the level of output needed.  Because Enzo didn’t purely rely on the wingers and that’s all we have at the moment (assuming he’d get the old stephy back)

Needs to be locked. There's absolutely no chance he comes here. 

 

I totally believe we have contacted him, that I'm not doubting as Top is desperate, clueless and brainless. But it was a short contact with laughter on the other side of the phone. I can imagine it was a very one sided approach.

Think you misunderstood me mate. I’m saying If enzo came in NOW, we would absolutely NOT finish 6th with a pts deduction. 
 

6th would be achievable with Enzo and without a deduction. But not a chance in hell with a deduction. 
 

which is why he won’t come. He’d be stupid to. There’s literally nothing in it for him other than saving us from relegation.

Kingy played that way in pre season as well. To be honest I’m gobsmacked he didn’t take the opportunity vs Charlton to flip the script and play a different system. 
 

instead he stuck with marti ball (although it was slightly more direct). 
 

but what did we expect I suppose, king (openly admitted in his conference) didn’t have the answers under Marti. Why would he have the answers now.

we are 9 points off with 16 to play, that will go to something like 15-18 off with the expected points deduction. Enzo is good but making up a point a game on teams leaves basically no room for error at all this season. playoffs are gone as a prospect
