whilst his signing isn't exactly the most exciting we are short of DMs we have very little size in the side either so I hope fans give him a fair chance

He isn't a DM in any way shape or form.

Just a certain amount of sense I think. I know it's extremely tempting to assume we're the biggest idiots in the world, we certainly don't manage the wage bill very well. But we're obviously being very, very cautious with the purse strings at the moment which is why we're loaning Aribo in the first place.

I just can't see us doing it if it was costing that much.

This is the same club that’s whilst not having much money:

-signed Skipp for 25m

-signed Eduoard and never played him

-signed some bloke called Caranza and never played him

-Signed Coulibaly

-signed Michael Golding

Let’s not kid ourselves this club is of the scale clueless with Rudkin at the helm, our idiocy knows no bounds. This guy is going to be utter dogshit. Why because we have absolutely no logic in what players we acquire. Whatever made the club think in needs a midfielder more than a striker or wingback I will never know. Rudkinomics

If we want to save some money STOP SIGNING SHiT PLAYERS it’s pretty basic stuff!

Not seen a great deal of him despite him being 29. I know he made it to the Europa League final for Rangers but equally I know that a good amount of Southampton fans are glad he's not in their squad anymore.

Will judge him on his performances in a City shirt.

Interesting tweet from Radio Solent’s Sports Editor.

He may have been on When Your Smiling earlier, someone who covers Southampton gave him a glowing reference anyway

How many City fans slag of Perez to only watch him bag up in Spain?

Should always bag up in Spain. My mate got a dose in Maga 2002. Horrible it was

In a completely different league, one that's gone substantially downhill, playing for a completely different side.

We've just signed a cast off from a team in our own division that we've seen play many times at this level and isn't very good.

Cmon man. Stop defending this. I'm not expecting anyone to start piling on and giving him personal abuse or anything, not his fault. But this is another abysmal bit of business from our club and we've every right to be annoyed at our complete disintegration in the transfer market.

Not defending anything, just willing to see how it goes.

We are in a dreadful position to be attractive to players, possible points deduction, no manager, toxic relationship between the club and fan base.

I bet there is a queue to come here.

From what I've read, we've replaced Soumare with Soumare.

Yeah, but a Temu version.

That's not match fit and isn't likely to be for a while as he was frozen out during pre-season as they tried and failed to flog him and has barely played since.

Doesn’t sound like a great signing, sometimes a player needs a change. Hope he proved us wrong, would be best out come really. Rather than being I told you he was crap moment.(which is more likely)

I think ultimately he just isn't good enough for this level but I have seen some encouraging posts regarding his attitude. Sounds like he's a good egg and God knows we could do with a few of those.

Neither are Winks or Soumaré before he left. Obviously we weren't going to get anyone who was playing regularly. Meh. Whatever.
