I mean he's absolutely dogshit so might be an improvement on the current duo but I'd rather use someone from the under 16's than pay actual money for that steaming pile.

Have you seen his goal to minute ratio?

Pretty pointless thread when we don't know which division we'll be in

It seems pretty likely it'll be either the Championship or League One so we could probably just take those two possibilities into account

And also there are signings who’d be decent in the championship and excellent in L1.

Trying to tap these (cheap) players up now would help when there’s a chance we’re still in the division.

sickos_yes.jpg finally found a good stats site with decent coverage https://per-90.streamlit.app

Gibson Yah - DM playing for Volendam, only has year left on his deal. Progressive 6 with strong defensive capabilities is exactly what we need. Transfermarkt says 1.93 cm which is 6'3 or 6'4 too. Volendam's average sale is about £750K

Only started 8/26 for Lorient this season but scored 4 goals and has 2 assists. Scored 14 goals in 14 nineties in Ligue 2 last season. just tuned 25, worth having a look

I was very impressed with young Dylan Lawlor for Wales the other night and certainly the type of CB we could use to build on along with Nelson.

Not sure he leaves Cardiff just yet especially if promoted but would imagine he’s caught the eye of many clubs.

If we got relegated I’d take Alassana Jatta on a free from Notts county

He's under contract until 2027.  Great record in League 2 though.  Late bloomer or just his level?

If we go down :frantics:

Tommi O’Reilly - Aston Villa(Currently on loan at Crewe)

Will no doubt make a step up next season whether permanently or loan.

1st for assists, 3rd for big chances created in League 2 this season.

With many players leaving we should try and get Michael Skubala & allow him to build a team from stretch.

I wonder what he will do thou, season in the sun for loyalty or jump ship whilst stock is high.

He won’t want to drop down a division.

I wonder what he does do as he must have caught the eye of many clubs, clubs who will have bigger resources for him to work with than Lincoln.

Loyalty will probably have a bearing in his decision but if he stays & it does go wrong for them, would he have the same clubs looking at him after?

Hard but nice choice for him to have in summer.

We spoke to him pre Rowett, fancied his chances with Lincoln more than us. Fair play to him.

Yeah I had a hunch we did but guess that was a case of come back and see me in the summer as I want to see the job through with Lincoln 1st from him.

Sadly now I think chance has passed us by.

I imagine hes well aware of the limitations that are in place at Lincoln which eases the pressure for him. I was reading that they have a self-imposed wage cap that works out at about 3.5k per week per player, which will be considerably less than others they have beat to promotion.

I think if he had any sense he would stay well clear of us. Before we bring anyone in though we need to address how we run our club, the money we spend, and start to look at how well run clubs like Lincoln are operating to build the foundations of what is to come. The likely and worse case scenario is we will just throw whatever is left financially at whatever we can to get out of the mess that same strategy has put us in.

It's going to have to be a culling. We know we're losing Aribo, Ramsey, Mukasa, Winks, Ricardo, Daka, Lascelles, Ayew, Begovic, James and Wanya. We'll probably also be forced to sell Fatawu and Nelson. We might also find it difficult to keep Page and Monga.

Which probably means we'll have to;

  • Sign a 50 game a season right back.
  • Sign two central defenders.
  • Sign two central midfielders.
  • Sign two strikers.
  • Sign a 50 game a season winger.
  • Promote French/Bausor, Aluko, Hutchinson, Motsi etc.
  • Some of the loanees will probably be ready for League 1 (Braybrooke, Popov, Cartwright etc).

It's going to be a massive overhaul this summer. We might even end up in a situation where we can't bring players in and have to make do with what we've got but i'd really worry for the lack of good, experienced heads in the squad. Big part of the problem for me has been the number of experienced players who are clearly workshy dickheads who have been a terrible influence.
