This will probably be a short thread as I think there’s limited standouts and I’ll start with 

 

Gerry Daly and Kevin Campbell 

 

I can’t think of any better than these 2

Definitely Kevin Campbell. We loaned him on the promise we would not make an offer at the end of the loan as they didn’t want him unsettled. We made an offer anyway and upset them!

Gerry Daly came in 1983 and we lost once in the last 19 games or so. 
 

Come the next season he wasn’t here of course - we’ve very sporadically been a well run club

He was so much better than what we has and his pace and power were breathtaking.

Although I was breathing air during Campbell's time I was too young to remember.

Was brilliant for a short while and the biggest standout keeper we had from Ian Walker leaving to probably Kasper coming.

Peter Weir and Nicky Cross were the shrewd, clever sort of loan signings we thought Pleat was going to deliver time and again. 

 

Alas,.both left at the end of their half season loans and Pleat went doolally
