No, it’s completely symptomatic.

We overpaid on a player that wasn’t a natural fit at all. We bought him because he was available rather than he was a good fit - the antithesis of the good scouting that had gone on previously.

The fee and the inflated wages meant we couldn’t shift him easily. He also went missy in tricky games and his goals came in games we’d already comfortably won like against Sheffield United and Southampton.

He’s obviously not the worst player ever but he was shit for the money, shit when it mattered and was “ill” loads of times.

The opportunity cost (not his fault) of the signing was the biggest in our history, had we signed a good RW for the money - we in all likelihood finished in the top 4 at least once.

He was also that rubbish that wherever he played “he was out of position” whether that was on the wing, as an AM or up front.

I literally disagree with all of that.

He was a part of the squad with the right mentality. The problems all occurred from signing players that didn't have his attitude and work rate yet wanted higher wages.

It was Perez that threw the Covid house party!

I know that what is happening now is crap. People need to be accountable.

However, some fans never ever see their club win anything. Anyone around my age (mid 40's) have seen.

  • 4 play off finals (2 wins)
  • 3 League cup finals (2 wins)
  • Promotion to premier league 2nd place in the administration season
  • League 1 title
  • Championship winning season under Pearson
  • Great escape
  • Premier League winners
  • Fa Cup winners
  • Community Shield Winners
  • Championship Winners under Enzo

Its all about moments and hopefully we will have some more in the near future, we might have another few years of the rough but maybe there is light someday.

The reality is with this ownership, there is still some time until the rot stops. We will not win one further Jot under this leadership.

We have done amazing, King Power treat us as if we were nothing without them, which is untrue. Sadly the KPFC lot buy it.

I’m confused people saying about his work rate. Perez spent most of his time on the floor because he’d tripped over the ball. I don’t remember him being an energetic high press merchant at all.

I’d agree with Stadt that signing him arguably cost us the Champions League. Massive weak link, waste of money and wages, missed that sitter at Chelsea.

I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was completely unsuited to English football due to a lack of physicality, but his touch was also awful so I don’t know maybe we just signed his twin by accident.

Just scheduled a load of content on my IG page commemorating every step of what happened at each stage ten years ago.  This was the day where I absolutely started to believe it could happen.  An absolutely brilliant day.

Now the irony of us being 20th in the championship with a six point deduction compared to Man City being perennial title contenders with 115 charges that they'll never get in any bother for is quite telling, on today of all days.

If you want to see some video from ten years ago (and of all the matchdays back then so far and upcoming) then click here - lcfc5000to1 on IG.

Had goosebumps remembering the exact time and place watching that Mahrez goal 10 years ago today.

I don't I've ever felt prouder to be a Leicester fan than after that Man City game. It felt like we could beat anyone.

Best performance of my lifetime. If we'd won 0-6 nobody would've said it was unfair. A total massacring.

Me too. I’ll never forget that day. First time I really believed that we were going to do it. One of those surreal moments in your life.

We shut them down and hammered them on the break. Remember thinking during the game that we would be horrible to play against- brilliantly coached and unafraid of anyone.

It's never been boring. At the moment it's the wrong kind of interesting, but at least it's interesting. And when it's been at its best - it's been better than anything any other football fan has ever experienced.

I'd say it's pretty boring at the minute. Week in week out you know exactly what you're going to get, a spineless performance by a bunch of pricks with no professional pride

It's not boring for me. I desperately don't want us to be relegated. So every game has meaning. Even Birmingham v Leicester (who'd have thought it?)

This was the vital thing that season, something we’ve almost never had before or since. It’s a rarity for clubs like ours. Ranieri was the only manager who could have won us that title. And that doesn’t get said enough.

Does anyone have the full programme of the BT Sport coverage for the Man City game? I seem to remember Big Nige being on punditry for it and confidently predicting pre-game that we'd win the match and go on to win the title
