Fox_Trot123 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Just now, Tuna said: He will play against Southampton as Aribo can't. Play him in both. Best midfielder at the club by a mile
Haywood_6 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Don't mind it. I'd prefer Ayew not being in the squad at all. Obviously Thomas has struggled especially away from home. Hope Mukasa and Richards get on in the second half. Need to forget the off the field stuff and just get behind the team now to stop this downward spiral. Let's hope for a change in fortunes today. Up the city. 4
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Our saviour Oliver 🦘 Skipp is back to pull this club back to where it belongs
Benji Posted 7 February Posted 7 February At least Gray is injured. Think him scoring to condemn us to another defeat would tip me over the edge.
LVFox Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Actually a strong looking bench for first time in ages. Happy Lascelles starts. Oh and Daka > Ayew is the right call.
Sunbury Fox Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Can't believe we've not brought in another out and out number 9 and a LB. We all identified those as the 2 main weaknesses (amongst many) in this team and yet here we are with Thomas at LB and Daka or Ayew up front. Depressing. 2
kiddo Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Well, it's better...but still picked Thomas who will lose his man at least once in the box, and Ricardo who will go wandering into midfield and get caught out again. Still, at least no Ayew so I'll watch it.

lookwhaticando Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Stol probably needed taking out of the firing line, so that’s fine. Ayew punished for his bollocks penalty last week, that’s fine too. Changes at CM/CB/GK all at once is a bit of a frightener, although I suppose that was potentially somewhat inevitable with the injuries and suspensions in two of those positions. Let’s just hope there’s actually some decent effort and energy from them. Preferably for the full 90.
Jakemoore Posted 7 February Posted 7 February 14 minutes ago, DAS Boot said: It’s a shame that Ayew makes the bench but that aside, it’s probably as positive as you could hope for. Ayew on the bench when we’re 0-3 up is perfect. Can’t wait to see him come on for 20 minutes and fall over 600 times!
los dedos Posted 7 February Posted 7 February What did people expect from Richards, hardly played any 1st games . Seems like he'll get the least game time out of all our new singings. Still hope he come's good though !
Fazzer 7 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Has Luke Thomas got a hold over Kingy like Rudders has Top. FFS this is embarrassing.
Taz_The_Fox Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Whilst I agree thst starting Daka over Ayew is absolutely the right decision. I fear he may still turn in a performance that reminds us all why hes not been starting 1
TheGoldenGod Posted 7 February Posted 7 February King already trusting JL to start at the back is promising!
OntarioFox Posted 7 February Posted 7 February (edited) Ayew's been dropped, I'll take that every day. What else were folks expecting - throwing 2 teenagers in for debuts? The only one I can't fathom there is not giving Kristiansen a go if he's available ahead of the school raffle winner, but then again maybe he's not fit enough to play 90 minutes. Who knows? The real litmus test is whether Kingy gives Richards the nod for the end of the game instead of the lump. I'll reserve judgement on this selection until a ball is kicked. Katy Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Daka’s attitude is far better than Ayew’s and my hatred for Ayew knows no bounds, so I’m happy with that change. 3 1
JimJams Posted 7 February Posted 7 February I know Richards has been "described" as a winger, but the lad himself literally says he's a 9. Not that I'd have expected him to start. But we all know how these match threads go. It's on the bingo card along with "Game over before half time" and "Fxxks sake Thomas".

OntarioFox Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Massive question mark over Lascelles' fitness too, of course, but I'm excited to see Nelson finally get an actual defender alongside him in a blue shirt. Praying he lasts the full 90.

UniFox21 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Page can feel disappointed to have been benched, but interested to see how Aribo comes in.
