Can you not see that that might be who he is surrounded by though? It’s not as clear cut as just saying a player is shit etc. 
 

When you are sharing a defence with Caleb Okoli, Luke Thomas and 2026 Ricardo, as a 21 year old defender who hasn’t yet actually had a full season under his belt due to injuries and us being a non youth friendly club, how are you going to look?

 

Rowett loved him at Oxford and even though they were a more limited side, they would have been much more organised and hard working than we are. It’s good for Nelson that Rowett is here. I reckon he’ll be at the forefront of any improvements in the defence as the rest of the season plays out and whether or not we stay up or go down, will get a move elsewhere in the summer given his contract situation.

Amazing how seeing players showing a bit of fight, even sprinting can change the mindset of the fans.....after just 45 mins at Stoke, plus 90 at 'Boro. 

Makes you wonder what the last 3 buffoons in charge were doing.

If its a 0-0 and we keep our first clean sheet in months, I think I'd be OK with that just to give the defence a bit more confidence.

 

Need to start putting pressure on the teams around us though and start putting some actual points on the board, so I'd rather an ugly 2-1 win with another dodgy mistake for their goal, than a solid 0-0.

I wouldn't hate to see a midfield box of Winks Skipp James Mukasa. Skipp has played LB for us before, swaps out in the back line with Ricardo when playing out the right. The Maresca way with fresh talent.

As I've just been scheduling content for the 5000 to 1 Instagram project to go up throughout today, it's weirdly ironic that ten years ago today, we played Norwich at home whilst top of the Premier League.

 

Maybe that's an omen. Also I'm taking my lad tomorrow and he very very rarely sees us lose for some reason.

 

0-1 Norwich then, of course

Can't see how you can drop Winks on last 2 performances. If anyone needs dropping it's probably Mavadidi IMO
