Somebody else said it in another thread:

When Vichai died, so did the club (slowly, but surely).

Top hasn't been able to follow in his father's footsteps at all.

And that ineptitude trickles down to all levels (of management) below.

There's not an ounce of life left in this club. All the excitement and joy after the PL title has been sucked out of it. The FA Cup win was an aberration.

What remains is a brittle, lifeless corpse.

We won the prem.

Weve won the FA Cup, Charity Shield and League cup all in the modern era.

We've always filled away ends up and down the country.

Ermm.. no we haven't.

Even during the golden age of Martin O'Neill, there were plenty of games where we struggled (and often failed) to sell our allocations for away games.

More recently, our turnout for a cup quarter-final (Newcastle, League Cup 2023) barely made four figures.

And there have been several games this season, especially in midweek, where swathes of empty seats have been in evidence on our travels.

I’ve been in over 40 different grounds with this club and I’d say 95% were sell outs.

If you look statistically we are way better than average in terms of away ends whether that be sell outs or sizeable contingents.

Whats likeable about us right now is going to my clothes drawer and only seeing a couple of Leicester embroudered shirts left. The knowledge that they are on their last legs is pleasing. Not bought an LCFC item in over two years and very soon I will be able to open that drawer and not feel immediately depressed. :nono:

Ps, cant burn them or throw them away as it against die hard fan policy.

Like the slow that slowly boils - the current administration have stripped away all the admirable and likable elements of Leicester City.

The matchday staff treat the punters with visible contempt.

The punters seem to accept this and want to genuflect to an ownership that treat them AND match-day staff with contempt.

This ownership has wasted money overindulging players not good enough.

The players think that they're better than they are and they definitely think they're better than us.#

I'm not sure how much 'love' I have for the club anymore. I don't know how to articulate why I still go and take an interest.

Is there anything likeable about us?

Heres the thing that hurts the most ....

Im a fan that now lives far from leicester, and for years after winning the prem, people from distant towns and cities would stop me and say wow leicester what a team!.... Leicesters my 2nd team ect...

We gave people of other teams hope that the impossible was possible, and that we stuck it to the big boys!

Unfortunately we stuck it to the wrong boys twice after, when we blatantly pulled the FA and prems pants down with legal loopholes.   The same people that once were in awe of my city shirt, now laugh at our predicament and basically say we are getting what we deserve, they know we screwed the system and got away with it.  We have lost all credabilty from those distant other team's Fans,  should that bother us? Yes i think so,  we dreamed the dream did it the right way, and since the loss of the boss its been a slippery slope of decline and bending the boundaries all due to poor management.

So whats likeable?

To the nation it feels our predicament is likeable.

And this is truly sad.

The only positive thing for me is a Tikka Naan & a pint on London Rd b4 heading back up north after another loss. I doubt the City shop will sell many DVDs of the 2025/26 season. It’s a horror show.

Doesn't help that they've made it impossible to buy away tickets unless you're a member or STH. I do wonder if all clubs have the same ridiculous ticketing system we do. Another thing to add to the list of loathsome things about this club. The fans are treated with utter disdain, yet so many still fall over themselves to worship Top. Makes me sick!

The one thing I will say is that it isn't boring supporting Leicester City Football Club, whether good or bad. We've broken records, as some of the worst and some of the best stats. We're certainly not a beige club like most of the mid table Prem sides or most of the championship.

There is always something going on. I also think that, as a fan forum, Foxestalk is one of the best. One with the most content from game day to a thread about depression support. I go on other forums and it just doesn't have the same feel as this place. This forum is something to be proud of as a fan.

No

Yesterday, I was more interested in Lincoln City being promoted from L1 and York City getting 101 points in the National League. I could not have been less interested in Leicester City players masquerading as footballers.

Nope, the club has been eroded to nothing….. everything about the club is the pits. The match day experience is the pits, the hospitality is the pits, the team are the pits, the club merch is the pits…..

Just ****ing embarrassing the whole lot.

Lost a bit of interest in football as a whole before I even get started on the subject of Leicester City.

Considering ive followed them across Europe, I think ive reached the point where I wouldnt give a sh1t if the club folded tomorrow.

Its a combination of having kids now, football changing for the worse in general and the fact our club has been decimated into an embarrassment.

Yes, our story.

Obviously things are awful right now, but they are only truly so awful because of what came before.

Our last 20 years of history is such an incredible tale of unfathomable success and unprecedented capitulation. I can't think of another club with a history quite like it, at least in recent times.

This club has given us highs that fans of other clubs will never experience in their lifetimes.

I tend to listen to my emotions when thinking about things like this, before I start verbalising about how I feel. And, I can genuinely say I wasn’t bothered at all about the result yesterday. Did not feel any negative emotions.

I guess that means I don’t like anything about the club, which is pretty sad when ten years ago I was crying with happiness when Hazard scored.

Ok things are miserable right now but it’ll always be your club, hell things are bad but we will always have the 1996-2000 MON era, the rebuild under Nigel Pearson, that amazing Championship season, the great escape, 2016, the Sevilla and Atletico games, the FA Cup win.

I guess the community, the friends you’ve made through supporting this club, the way it’s helped you bond with family members, these are the things to cling onto in times like this.

We will get our club back, it’s going to be a painful journey to get there but it’s going to happen. Hope must remain even if this means not being present at the moment.

Also if it’s genuinely making you miserable, you don’t HAVE to put yourself through this. Life is tough as it is, you don’t need to make things worse.

If we do it won't be because of our fans, we'll have to hope nature takes it's course. Our fans this season and to an extent the season or two before have been an utter embarrassment when it comes to demanding change.
