Parker Pen Posted 21 April Posted 21 April I think we should now be looking at the managers who do well with limited resources and who know league 1/2 and have got teams promoted to the championship or managed in the Championship like Paul Cook at Chesterfield or Neil Harris at Cambridge. But James McCarron will go with someone from his City group links no doubt and that’s looking like Lee Johnson from what I can see.

Steve Bould worked for him at Lommell as well, currently QPR assistant.

Isn't his record pretty abysmal?

I understand the cynicism but I don't see us appointing Johnson. It will be imperative we get out of League One at the first attempt and there is nothing in this bloke's CV to suggest he could achieve that. That's not to say we'll make an inspired or imaginative appointment, but it won't be Johnson.

There's virtually no relationship between what the club needs and what the powers that be do about it. 1
Popular Post oundlefox Posted 21 April Popular Post Posted 21 April Lee Johnson. Jesus Christ. Think I’d rather have Boris Johnson 5

He will fit the bill nicely for our useless hierarchy. I expect him to be in charge here by late July!
Blue ROI Posted 21 April Posted 21 April Someone with EXPERIENCE. Someone from Southampton preferably. Nathan Jones would be ideal 3

LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 21 April Posted 21 April I really wouldn't be surprised if it was Will Still. Whoever it is I want them in quickly and I want them to come as a package with a competent Director of Football. Nigel Pearson and Steve Walsh...? 1
Leicesterpool Posted 21 April Posted 21 April Tony Mowbray seems experienced enough for this job, but won't get the call as doesn't play that tip tap football that the board want.

Vindaloo FOX Posted 21 April Posted 21 April Who would want to come here ? No money, shit owners and a lot dead wood that's gonna be hard to sell. No thanks
blue blood Posted 21 April Posted 21 April Let’s be honest. They will not have prepared for this. Come August we will still be waiting for an appointment. If they sack Gary at all.
