Mark Robins would be the perfect choice IMO.

 

Someone that understands youth, knows how to operate without a budget, demands a work ethic and brings the best out of what he's got.

 

He is just a younger Nige IMO. He built the platform for Lampard at Coventry. We need someone to come here and do the same.

I’m not a fan of our clubs idea of ‘Pep-ball’ which has evolved anyway.

 

But at least it would have shown some level of consistency and planning. They just have no idea and lurch from disaster to the next.

I think there are two routes. 

 

1. An older safe pair of hands to steady the ship, probably only on a 12 month contract. We've had 3 relegations in 4 seasons and there will be huge turnover of players next season. It needs a sensible head to start the healing.

 

2. A young gamble. Someone still learning the game who will be around for a while and we start the whole thing fresh.

 

I think 1 is more expensive than 2. 2 has more potential upside but is more difficult to get right and could badly go wrong. 

 

In an ideal world I'd look for an option 1 with an option 2 as assistant with a view to a handover in 27. But I don't think we have people capable of that level of planning.

You'd think so but he doubtless would have had lots of offers whilst doing well in the lower leagues with Cov.

 

After not excelling wth Stoke I don't think there'd be the same amount of suitors he had previously.

Well considering we will probably be strapped to actually sign anyone and will have to blood youngsters we will probably need an academy coach from an elite football club thats used to working with world class facilities, therefore a potential shortlist would be;

 

Jack Wilshere - Luton Town (did coaching badges with arsenal and has elite pedigree as a player) (if we can pay any compo)

Ben wilkinson - man city

Callum Mcfarlane - chelsea

Kevin Brok - leverkusen 

Julian Lopez - Castilla

Jean-François Vulliez - psg

 

A reminder Nigel Pearson's first permanent managerial role was leicester.

Rowett has never collided with players this talented and youngsters with extremely high ceilings and has failed miserably. Not all his fault but leicester have got worse every single game and for some reason made the stupid mistake of trusting harry winks, a toxic influence over the rest of the squad and is not up for the scrap.

Did he make a tit out of himself, wasn't it reported he got annoyed players weren't following instructions? Might of helped clear a few out had he got the job
