From what i have heard Martin been offered the job, its now down to him.

He has worked with Glover at Saints previously.

I also got shot down on here previously saying he had worked with our new Technical Director at Swansea.

Apparently he was there on a consultancy basis and is highly regarded by RM

I hope the Burnley gig is turning his head but i have a feeling hes holding out for a bigger payday.

Worrying times ahead

U sure, pal? Not sure the dates work

If it is it is. Not a big fan. But I don’t want to drop any lower, there is a slight chance it’ll pay off. It also could be even more of a disaster

Source?

Latest reports suggest we've not advanced any further with Martin and Gill is staying at WBA. Looks like we're looking Hake and others as of now.

I saw rochdale had a new manager and literally assumed their old boss would have moved to Stockport…. Because they are a club that know what they’re doing.  The club size doesn’t matter when you are as incompetent as us

Some reports online suggest it’s almost done and could be announced as early as tomorrow. No idea how reliable.

‘Others’ in the plural? Really curious to know who…

Wonder if ‘others’ is a club line to make Martin move, much like how Burnley links seemed to be from Martin’s side to get us to do more.

Saw leicester fan TV using AI to make an look like we've moved the deal, Phil isn't a reliable source.

If he's coming to league 1, he'll be paid handsomely for it and I bet they have given him a budget to buy players. He wouldn't come in without that being an option.

I am far from happy and it's not my choice but I support the club and don't want us to fail. We need to get out of this league.

My worry is that he won't be given much head room for mistakes and it could go toxic very easily.

Challinor would have been given more support by the fans and it's a brand of football I like.

it will be Martin and we all know it. Worst part is, we are longing for him, he not arsed and will get whatever he asks for. It is genuinely crazy.

My main issue is his personality, his "if a player makes a mistake, I take the blame" despite the fact he called his team pathetic when they lost to us 5-0.

His last two clubs held banners calling for his head and his football is dated now, football moves on quickly and that brand of possession football is dying, even Guardiola had done away with it.

I may be proved wrong but either way, it's another kick in the teeth that the board went to him when the fans clearly wanted anyone but him, all whilst claiming they wanted to build back trust.

I do believe Martin will get us out of league 1 given he’s allowed to get his own players in! He needs a rebuild and so do we. Him coming to league 1 is a huge risk more on him, if he don’t gain promotion he’s done in this country imo.
