We will be lucky to win another game doesn't make any difference to us.

Nothing matters when you can't do your own job!

Looking at the fixtures, you would think West Brom, Portsmouth and Oxford would win at least a couple each. We'll probably manage two points at best

Best case scenario (other than staying up obviously) would be going down with Oxford.

Sheff Weds, Leicester & West Brom as 3 teams going down are all heavyweights for League One. Would leave absolutely no margin for error in promotion you’d expect (assuming Sheff Weds

sort themselves out by then).

Possibly the biggest/strongest 3 clubs relegated from the Championship in a single season?

I'm confused. Having read most recent comments on the forum, I thought relegation meant larger debts, administration, a further points deduction, and finally the end of LCFC., followed eventually by a phoenix club. So.....we wouldn't be a heavyweight.

That won’t come into effect until next season

It's for last season, so if it doesn't take effect this season then the game is corrupt and gone.

It will be lost in legal challanges and the authorities will be accused of fixing  relegation etc....

Can see this being another thing the club use to play the victim card

And of course some of our fans will lap it up

Maybe the solution is to become competent at cheating. Let’s be honest if we over spend and have good players and get a 6 point deduction in doesn’t really matter. The problem is we try to comply but are incredibly shit at it.

There were people last summer that thought we'd get play-offs with a points deduction lol

I'll happily admit I was one of them, not unreasonable to assume before a ball was kicked.

What's actually transpired is we've lost 17 b***ard games and drawn another 14. Horrific on the pitch, nevermind off it!

Forest did this and qualified for Europe the season after.

We literally sold KDH just so we could make the signings we made for Cooper.

So much of how they have operated over the last few years has been to make it look like everything is okay to the fans and manager.

Those signings for Maresca could not have been anything other than that. Once he was well in the door and they knew he wouldn't walk away from a title win, they just let him know there's no money.

Likewise that KDH sale would have been all about giving cooper a few signings. Then later in the season just lied to Ruud before he signed. It's actually unbelievable.

I'm so burnt out on the business of football.

I used to just like watching football and getting a bit excited by the odd transfer rumour but now it's just endless discussions about finances, player contracts, PSR and sponsorship deals.

If we're shit, I'll happily watch us be shit on merit but having to endure the sideshow is exhausting and draining.

Ain't that the truth. I know way more than I ought to about the grubby mess that is the Thai business world, purely because I've sat down and tried to work out what it means for the very existence of the football club I follow.

It's complete bollocks that I felt the need to educate myself on something that otherwise doesn't matter one bit to normal people in the East Midlands. But here we are. And it's bloody scary too, because the more you read into it and the state of our ownership's interests, the more you realise that we're screwed and might not have a club to follow in as little as 18 months' time.

Football stopped being about the football long ago, but it's accelerated beyond recognition in the past decade, which just so happens to have coincided with our own pitiful implosion.

True .

They all do but obviously only whoever Man C are using as their lawyers seems to actually work .

I'm sure they'll stay up though. Even if they get a deduction it'll be 3pts max and they'll probably stay above us and one of the other two.

I was too lol Just shows how fast we've fallen from expectations.

I am very confused, if breaking PSR means you are losing money, and the league does not want this, how does points deduction solve anything? Doesn’t that just make the situation worse? Shouldn’t the solution just be transfer bans, you can no longer spend money to bring players in, or you have a threshold of how much you can spend on players, then the teams have to figure out how to cut cost, and then once you are in the positive then the bans are removed.

Breaking PSR supposes that the perpetrators have cheated either systematically or by negligence. The other clubs following the PSR rules, that the clubs themselves have voted in favour of, will rightly ask questions and for clubs to get a sporting punishment that disincentivises cheating. In a way, is it much different to when clubs use an ineligible player and lose 0-3 by default?

I agree that transfer bans should also be employed, but Chelsea showed their model of hoarding young players secures them against such measures too.

The system doesn't work and I doubt anything useful will be put in its stead.

There will always be a club. Whether it's LCFC, a phoenix LCFC or another (probably local) club, people will always have a club they can devote time and money to support.

Just have to hope and prey someone presents TOP with an offer he can’t refuse. Can’t see it happening though as he’s emotionally attached to the football after his father died. He’s letting him down so badly he needs to make some serious decisions now!

Only football I've enjoyed watching for a couple of years now is Serie A.

Really competitive league again, not at it's big money height since the 90s but I think that helps. Surprising teams run up the league and the title race is usually pretty competitive.

Fun to watch as a neutral and remember that the actual sport itself can be entertaining in its own right.

That's what we always say, though.

Absolutely those ****ers have been cheating for years.

P.S I doubt they have just thought I'd test what it's like to gobshite off about another club. Yes it's pretty good the cheating bastards
