It is now officially the worst season in the club’s 142 year history.

 

We got relegated with 52 points in the only other time we were relegated from the second tier.

 

I hope that sinks in with the club’s hierarchy.

There are too many mediocre players who wouldn’t get into any other team in the division. For the past 2 seasons we have had no recognisable style or method of playing. Most sides have actually looked as though they have a plan in place and move methodically and athletically. The only players who actually have given half decent performances, even accounting for mistakes made in the process, are Thomas, Skipp, Fatawu and Vesty. Others may not have played enough matches for consideration. The fact that we do not have a striker than can score when presented with a relatively easy chance, is a major cause of our problems. Scoring another 12 or 14 goals wouldn’t see us in the position we are in.

The last time we were relegated to tier 3 was with 52 points, assuming we don’t reach 46 points this season (accounting for the points deduction) it will definitely be the worse season ever. 
 

though even if we beat that total, the quality in this team, surely confirms 100% this is our worst ever campaign.

That’s the lowest finish, not the worst season. ‘Worst’ is subjective but I’d say unprecedented failure and lack of entertainment value relative to the division makes it quite obviously the worst.

 

It’s definitely the most hateful Leicester team of all time, and none of the regular players or managers should ever be forgiven.

Technically it is. So anything below a league win with 96 points next season and a new low has been hit.

 

The lowest we fell to in 2008/09 was 6th, so if we're below that position at any point all season, we have hit our lowest current position.

I'm at the point where I just want the season to be over. There's no point holding onto hope that we will escape the drop. I want something to get excited about - the reality of dropping into League One is a sword of Damocles hanging over us - its inevitable. Would rather forfeit the remaining games and just start thinking about the summer rebuild early. I just can't keep watching these sorry performances.

I think the points deduction was pivotal actually.  That was the point that heads dropped and spirits were broken.

 

It cost us far more than six points
