So if we sign Adebayo, that’s yet another signing where we’re left praying that he rediscovers some form, that’s if he can stay fit for two minutes.

Can’t be getting him in to be first choice, far too risky for that, if he goes down injured again, then we’re screwed.

Doesn’t suit RM really does it? Think he’s either “Plan B” off the bench or just a false rumour. Would never been RM’s starting striker

These bountiful cheap players you suggest - are they going to be able to secure a work permit?

Wouldn't need one, you get exemptions for a couple of players who wouldn't get work permits

The value is there but even these clubs bend us over. The kristiansen deal is a prime example of that

That's our fault though as other clubs in our country manage to do it.

Who was that striker we was linked with last summer or January window ? Japanese lad

Hmmmm don't recall a Japanese player? But Diabate from GAIS was who we supposedly had a bid accepted for and then nowt happened.

Interesting FC again, we'll sign none of them

How do you sign players without being interested?

Would a player like Adebayo be worth the risk.

1) He has to get fit

2) He has to stay fit

3) If those two things happen, then he has to rediscover some form

He’s currently on trial at Bristol City, so I’d look out for developments.

Apologies it was a midfielder named Lee Dong-gyeong

@GLC and Elm, I'm not on any socials, so apologies. Are you one in the same?

Nothing's really changed. We are obsessed with high risk, average reward. But that's a natural knock on of being agent driven.

Yup it's a massive red flag. We need a striker to hit the ground running. This is not it

Shouldn't sign him if there is this sort of red flag, so expect him in on a 2 or 3 year contract.

Yep, came across that tweet earlier mate, Martin would have to resurrect him in more ways than one.

Always sceptical of a signing like this, even if it’s just a free, as you said in another post, feels like nothing’s really changed if we take a chance on Adebayo.

What i find pretty stark is that as finances have become extremely limited, our recruitment know how has been massively exposed.

Barely a link to value for money leagues where even a million could get you very capable players from Scandinavia and Australia and Japan/South Korea. But as i've often said, I genuinely think our current set up wouldn't even know where to begin.

It's yet another area of this club that needs ripping up and rebuilding. How Glover still has a job here is beyond me.

I don’t know about that. Glover seems to have all the important areas covered. There’s Portswood, Bassett, Shirley, Millbrook, Bitterne, Ocean Village, St Mary's obviously…

I don't want signings with caveats all the time. It's always "its OK if we do X" and then lo and behold, it doesn't happen.

If he is so unfit then surely a pay as you play contract would be best, assuming he’ll go for that.

I wouldn’t want to be lumbered with a player who might not play more than 10 games per season.
