There is very little chance of getting Ballard. They want £6m+. We haven't got that money.

Edit - and would Plymouth want to give up both their strikers up?

I think both will be expensive

Dom Ballard is one that I think we will get over the line next.

Hope you’re right mate he’s a right bagsman!

What i find pretty stark is that as finances have become extremely limited, our recruitment know how has been massively exposed.

Barely a link to value for money leagues where even a million could get you very capable players from Scandinavia and Australia and Japan/South Korea. But as i've often said, I genuinely think our current set up wouldn't even know where to begin.

It's yet another area of this club that needs ripping up and rebuilding. How Glover still has a job here is beyond me.

Who was that striker we was linked with last summer or January window ? Japanese lad

The value is there but even these clubs bend us over. The kristiansen deal is a prime example of that

I don’t hate Adebayo, granted he passes a medical, and he’s as a squad option.

a Ballard or Wareham, with Adebayo and Otchere as backups isn’t terrible.

We never going to change this summer, but hopefully McCarron will have a shake up in this area.

Wouldn't necessarily mind him as back up as I am not sure whether he will come in and be the 20-ish goals a season striker we would probably need to be leading the line every week

That is even if he is properly over his injury issues after his ACL

I dont trust that Daily Mail article, we've not paid money for a player for nearly two years. No way we are in for any of them. It will be free agentsvir loans.

To be fair, I was fairly impressed by him in their prem season . Had serious injuries since then

We need to stop pursuing injury prone players. We need players who can give us 40+ games.

You shouldn’t be surprised, anyone & everyone upstairs at our club is completely out of their depth

We ain't paying proper money for any player and Ballard will end up in the Champs.  2 or 3 clubs have already offered close to what his current club wants so just a matter of who in the Champs he ends up at.

Adebayo sounds about right. We've been looking for a crocked CF for a while. Didn't work with Antonio and Ings, so good to see we may have finally found our man.

Is there evidence we even have a recruitment team anymore, bar Glover? The bloke seems like a dinosaur.

These bountiful cheap players you suggest - are they going to be able to secure a work permit?

So if we sign Adebayo, that’s yet another signing where we’re left praying that he rediscovers some form, that’s if he can stay fit for two minutes.

Can’t be getting him in to be first choice, far too risky for that, if he goes down injured again, then we’re screwed.
