Why can't you chat about a football game without snowflakes like you getting upset at differing opinions. I've not seen one person say anything along the lines of we can't win the world cup. It was a poor performance and has talking points around that

Ultimately it's a point that pretty much secures qualification to the next round so the criticism shouldn't be too over the top but there is justification for there to be some

Lost me at snowflakes, not reading all that follows I’m afraid.

It’s a long tournament, 4-2 brilliant.. 0-0 not bad… Tuchel will learn a lot from those two games than his whole tenure.. Ghana played well, but we should expect that and be able to overcome it. Unlucky in the last 10 we didn’t find the winner

Surely it'll be Saka and Rashford starting next game. Maybe rest Kane and Bellingham for Watkins and Rogers too

Oh and O'Reilly for Spence

No England manager is ever not starting Kane in a WC - even if he's completely crocked.

Saka and Rashford in, yes, but don't take out Kane and Bellingham for what could be a pivotal chance to finish top of the group. I'd rather us go strong to start and take off players 50-60+ minutes if we're cruising. Other less-high-profile nations in this tournament have shown you can't take anything for granted. And we just got shut out by 11 men behind the ball. Why would Panama play any differently?

And do world class teams find the answers every time? I felt we did well at times, created chances… but it didn’t go in

well, world class teams don’t usually drop points in the group stages against teams that have Jordan Ayew as their starting striker..

It’s not coming home is it ……..

Why? Because we came up against a defensive unit? Let’s give up… it’s not like every side that wins the World Cup is perfect

Yes - I was just about to say Spain. And didn't Italy win a world cup having not won a match in the groups stage. It's no biggy as long as lessons have been learnt.

Think its okay, we just needed to bring some players on sooner or even start with some players but glad we had our dip now reather then later

Yeah absolutely. If it is just a blip then better to have it now after an impressive first game. The pessimistic side of me thinks that might chip away at the belief a little though, although better opposition won't be quite so defensive.

I don't rate some of our players quite as highly as most and I do think we'll struggle against the likes of France, Spain, Argentina etc. I just think their match winning players turn up more regularly for their country

This isn't a result to catastrophise over but we do need to learn from it and sharpish

as an aside, Cape Verde finished above Cameroon in their World Cup qualifying campaign, whilst Ghanas achievement was finishing above Mali..

We got to finals twice with similar results

Joe Hart just nailed it, the danger is that when “lesser” sides meet us in round of 32

& 16 they’ll take encouragement from this Remember they don’t need to beat us outright, a 0-0 and Penalty sh**-show would do it :(.

Hard work when one team doesn’t want to come out to play but you do need to find a way.

But what did Kane and Bellingham do in that game to suggest they'll beat another team playing a low block?

I think the drop off from Kane to Watkins is admittedly quite big when Kanes on it but wouldn't have any qualms with Rogers starting over Bellingham

Also opening the door for some of these players might benefit us in the long run. They'll be even more eager to impress and it's game time for if they're needed further on in the tournament due to injury or whatever

I know Kane won't be dropped and I get it but maybe we should learn from previous tournaments

Really.. we have made two finals.. I’m optimistic if Ghana is the bad performance then yeah..  we have grown already.. if you watched England before Southgate you will know that lol
