Senegal could undo us if we play like that on Wednesday

Well their forwards are certainly a lot more dangerous than anybody we've faced so far, and we like gifting opportunities. But I think they'll be more inclined to take the game to us which might work in our favour.

Fair play if we go the whole way along that route, have to back yourself I suppose. Big logistical challenges, fitness, altitude, humidity. Senegal no mugs, Mexico in their home stadium most likely, then a grueling semi-final in Miami with no aircon. That's hard, c'mon England :englandsmile4wf:

Very unconvincing. Back 4 all at sea, wingers mostly flattering to deceive and very little creativity. Relying on big players to come up with moments.

A lot riding on Rice and Anderson being able to disrupt the better sides i think.

My only real concern at the minute is that we look a bit nervous.

Another game where patience was key, another game where the opposition were happy to sit deep, with the midfield 5 yards in front of the defence and the wingers doubled up on and try to hit us on the break.

A little nervous yes.

big positive for me is our two world class players in Kane and Bellingham are performing, with room to grow as we go further into the tournament.

If we make it through on Wednesday its ONLY Mexico at The Azteca most likely.

What's that crazy stat? They have only lost 2 games there since it was built?

Mexico will carve this England team up like a moist Turkey, especially at the Azteca.

If Ecuador play like they did against Germany, they'll beat Mexico.

Have to agree.

He's got a strange temperament for a top class international goalkeeper.

Calm, assured and safe he is not

Mexico don’t look great, I’d be much more worried about Ecuador, who should win that game vs Mexico anyway on evidence so far.
