The same people saying you can't rotate the likes of Kane and Bellingham etc are the same ones that will be blaming tiredness and too many game when get passed off the park against the likes of Spain etc later on in the tournament

Just like Leicester, keep doing the same thing and expecting different results

You'd expect us to beat Panama. This result puts the pressure on Croatia & Ghana in their game.

England v USA in 2022 was a rubbish performance. With the first group game won the pressure isn't really on. If we were to not turn up in the knock out games it's a problem but really we're still very comfortable and it puts all the pressure on Ghana & Croatia in their final match.

I expect some changes to the team after Panama too. Saka comes in, Rogers pushing too.

I don't think there will be too much negativity in the media to be honest. We didn't lose and we're comfortable in the group

Surely it'll be Saka and Rashford starting next game. Maybe rest Kane and Bellingham for Watkins and Rogers too

Oh and O'Reilly for Spence

Stones back in for me as well.

We're still vulnerable to the counter with Konsa and Guehi and at least Stones can play a ball into midfield and not just crab it side to side at snails pace.

It’s tournament football, long way to go… it’s rare a team actually gets 9 points in a group. And usually it isn’t the ones that win it. My issue's with the team will start if this happens against Panama… but I saw I lot of good stuff, and feel Panama will open up far easier

I think the disappointing thing for me is just the lack of creativity, Ghana got what they played for but we just didnt really test them, bar the header and Kane chance, there wasnt much else to shout about.

Id feel better if it was a 0-0 where the keepers been really tested. It was just quite poor all round.

Plenty to play for but I have to admit I dont get Anthony Gordon at all, he runs alot but as a footballer hes quite poor, hard to believe you can win a tournament carrying a player like that. Maybe we just need to play better teams that do come out a bit? But yeah just really poor for the levels we should be aiming for.

Panama are quite a good side

Reckon Tuchel might put some of the 'reserves' on, by resting a couple of key players for the last-32.

Panama doing really well vs Croatia.

Can't imagine they'll set up defensively as Ghana did against us. Probably see plenty of goals...

Their RM, Martinez, is their biggest threat.

And then have absolutely no answers when we come up against real quality. Surely we want to break old patterns of what we're happy with else we might as well have kept Southgate on

That's exactly how I feel. I'm probably massively overreacting but this is all feeling very familiar.

I get the concern, but I think no answers against real quality rewrites history a bit.

Southgate got England to two finals, a World Cup semi-final, beat Germany, Croatia, Denmark and the Netherlands in tournament matches, and lost narrowly to France and Spain. That’s not same old England… same old England was going out meekly, losing to Iceland, failing to qualify, or falling apart under pressure.

The fair criticism is that Southgate maybe didn’t quite have the final little % against the very best sides. That’s why Tuchel is here. But Tuchel should be building on the platform Southgate created, not pretending it was all failure.

A 0-0 with Ghana can be frustrating without meaning we’ve gone backwards.
