Yes, but he wasn't here for most of the time when we were s-it.

Hes hardly talking like someone who wants to be part of the club

The big issue is he seems to have no concept that we pay our money for two things winning and being entertained. Currently on both points he is failing. Would we take not being entertained but winning not so sure these days. We expect more for our money. Will I take being entertained and not always winning for me yes. We all will have different viewpoints but even when we have won under Martin it has not been entertaining. Games like last night just leave me baffled.

Well it's not boring is it? We are creating chances just not scoring enough of them, and we are also conceding a fair few. It's the daft mistakes at the back and missing chances or fu king up the final ball at the other end, it's fine lines.

As a neutral on the subject it would be easy to pile on and laugh! Haha, he left my team, he sucks!

If you look at the managerial landscape right now, who would you trade him for?

There's a few young progressive managers around and I wouldn't trade our current one Vitor Manos, but he's at least in the mould of someone trying to establish an 'identity', and not just going through the motions. I would take Russell Martin all day every day over a Tony Mowbray or Nathan Jones.

Exciting managers outside Prem.

Vitor Manos

Tonda Eckert

Kim Hellburg

Chris Davies

Brian Murphy

Craig Bellamy

Bellers has us playing fast paced vertical football, taking risks in the opposition half, playing one-twos to speed up the pace of play, playing balls round the corner to beat the press.

Some of our football at its best has been electric, we're just let down by the fact we've got a team full of EFL squad filler and no real prolific scorers but you can see the DNA in what he's doing and it's great.

He's also inspiring confidence in young players and deliberately giving them an opportunity to shine, not using them as an excuse when shit goes wrong.

I'd take him over Martin in a heartbeat, unfortunately his future is... well. Not in League One.

He's only really had one miss/ disaster in the Rangers season so far.

At MK Dons, Swansea and Southampton he performed at or above par every year. Every single team he was able to get to play the football he wanted, his teams topped possession charts above Fulham's Marcos Silva, Burnley's Vincent Kompany and Leicester's Enzo Maresca.. Possession isn't everything but in those teams he didn't have any real killers. Give him better players and I really wonder what he could do... Now i'm not talking a Man City job (like Maresca) or Bayern (Kompany), but I'd like to see if he could ever get to an Everton like team.

Probably best not to take drugs on a weeknight champ 👍

Disagree. Thought he talked well in the circumstances. Someone who didn't want to be part of the club would just have ignored the fan.

It’s not fine lines though. The mistakes at the back are because he doesn’t have players that can play that way, but insists they do.

The missed chances are because we are so slow and ponderous in our build up that the opposition are set and the chances we get are poor quality.

Its entirely self-inflicted

No I not having that at all. Did you go to Barnsley and MK? Even last night we should have had 5 or 6. The chances aren't always poor quality at all, they are poor technique and decision making.

Brass neck on him saying we've been shit since Enzo left.  Whilst it is true, he has been markedly shitter.

In the time between Enzo leaving and Martin rocking up at our door, we won 18 times.  During that same period, Martin won 3 ( that's 3) times.

Yes, we have been shit, but you would think that Russell Martin, of all people, might be a little more circumspect before throwing that word around.

Bellamy is also too much of a backable character for us to employ unfortunately

He should be grateful we've been shit. Wouldn't have a job here otherwise

He did not speak well.

He doesn't grasp the reason we're ****ed off and he doesn't get why we're so frustrated with the club and his bloody awful football.

A manager should be saying US not you. He just doesn't seem particularly bothered when we get beat and I see why now as he has real detachment from the club.

135 shots in 5 games means nothing and is a pathetic argument.

How many of those 5 games did we win?

We couldn't really play the way Maresca wanted us to and from Feb our form was mid table at best. We got over the line as we still had real quality in the team who could still pull out inspirational moments.

All of our great transformative managers in the past (i.e Wallace, Little, Pearson) knew it's players not systems that make the difference.

He is either too thick, too stubborn or both to get it.

But Bellamy only has one system himself and that has backfired a bit for him this year tbh.

Rather have a manager who has got it right at both ends consistently.

Quick Look at what our fans are saying on Twitter ( my mistake I know) and staggered at the amount still desperately defending him.

Have they followed his career at all?!

I've said it for years, if any club deserves to go under it's us, we defend the indefensible. Administration will be a reality check for these clowns we have supporting us.

Thank god someone is pressuring him.

The lack of accountability in this club is remarkable

Just seen the extended highlights. There were some. Considering the team was a bunch of kids I thought they played quite well. We are still a weak team but with some of the missing players back I hope we turn the corner.

Just watched this after work. I like possession football. I liked enzo's football, my memory of it was arriving in to the box with pace after passing it round to draw the opposition out and creating big chances. Martin's football is tepid, we pass round get it to our wingers who turn round and pass it back inside. It looks purposeless.

Secondly and more importantly, in my opinion, his attitude and demeanour is not becoming of a leader. He gets triggered at the slightest questioning of his style and tactics. He seems to think the world is against him.

He says that he lives by the sword and will die by it. I can only see it ending one way, let's hope it's not too late for us to get promoted.

Martin didn't need to engage with the fan and did. He didn't belittle him, he just said they would disagree and gave him his perspective based on the stats he sees. Sounds like RM just can't win in the eyes of some of the fans. If he doesn't say anything he's hiding, if he dodges questions he's got no spine, if he supports his opinion he's arrogant. Personally I like a manager that can back themselves when the critics are being loud.

Personally I like a manager that wins football matches

He’s clearly better at public speaking than coaching.
To mention that ‘you’ve been shit for years’ he’s obviously detracting himself from the situation he finds himself in.
I understand that he hasn’t been here that long but already it feels like it’s itching for another pay off.
Just a matter of time before him and Coady are on podcasts together passing the blame onto every other club they’ve been at.
Sadly anything that involves Martin with passing will mean the show’s will last at least a few hours longer than it should.

Everyone is talking about the you've been shit line.

It's the fact he's boasting about 125 shots to a bloke who's just watched 23 sail wide and high.

That isn't a statistic to be proud of. It's embarrassing we've not performed.
