Vardy's got a new podcast!

I think he sums up the saying of “you can separate the art from the artist” for me.

As a player for us, beyond incredible and probably the best I will ever see in my lifetime. 

But as a person he’s not someone I could listen to on a weekly show, podcast, etc. Seen a few fair few clips where he doesn’t come across that well in all fairness.

It's got his wife on it so it will defo be shit anyway, but the main problem with Vardy is that he's v funny when he's not trying to be, but when he's trying to get a laugh in front of the camera he's just cringey. Like when he just happened to get his giant cock shaped bottle opener out on the Netflix doc - sidesplitting stuff.

There was probably an NDA in his contract preventing him from revealing too much information.

The are trying to market it as a "pulling no punches, honest" type of pod but you can't come out with the empty stereotypical replies you'd expect to hear during a post match interview if that's the case. I listened to it but for the most part it was boring.

 

Manish also tried to get him to talk about some of the big teams in the PL this season but then immediately altered the question to involve Vardy's time against those clubs....was a bit strange.

But he has no contract now and there’s no pay off agreement either. 
 

Bottom line is you are always careful to slag off people in the business. Well I know I am in my job because at some point you might need them

Actually glad he cleared that up about the laugh with Haaland. 

 

Remember being absolutely fuming because the camera panned to him having a laugh with him and we were being pumped at the time.

She made an unprovoked comment during the podcast I thought was a dig, I think 5 mins in where he was asked about Italian football Vardy said something along the lines of "The director of football has a say in EVERYTHING"
