Which has seemingly been the case ever since Cooper left.

Quite, my point was more that we wouldn't see any announcement of them going yet. I reckon Sadler will go and Hughes will stay.

Looking back at Martin's previous stints as a manager and doesn't have much of a track record with wingers which saddens me. So once Monga and Fatawu go, I suspect there won't be much by way of replacements and will be more versatile forwards which hopefully suits Jake Evans and Will Alves.

This thread is 10% about Martin and 90% pure frustration at the club and the last few years of pain

its a very grim read and tbh the amount of hatred on this forum isn’t good for anyone’s mental health

everyone has an opinion but it’s turned into pure mob mentality hatred

the worst thing we can currently have this guy for is not liking his tactics or a crap spell at rangers - or quite simply he looks like a smarmy git - none of the above crimes of the century against us but the personal and even semi constructive comments are still well over the top in a negative way

I know my football as well as anyone and have seen the last 30 years as much as any of you on here and the continued negative outpost of hatred right now just doesn’t help anything or anyone

And yes this is a forum and yes your entitled to your opinion but let’s at least try and keep it constructive- would you talk to the guys face in the way you do on here ? And if you would your a really crap example of a decent human being

I’ll be giving him a chance - I don’t love the appointment but now it’s done the negative and hatred has to stop - take that into the ground again from August and it will be another tough place to be on a Saturday and I don’t want my young daughter to hear it or see it again this year - we as a fan base are as responsible as anyone to change the feeling around the place and it has to start somewhere

I don’t want him, but will now get behind him. That post deserves more than a thumbs up. Well said mate.

The way he got the best out of Adam Armstrong could really suit Jake Evans

There's signs he's been more open to recruiting/using them at Southampton and Rangers than he did at Swansea and MK Dons. I do think we are back to the era of Brendan though where we were always at least 1 short and playing a CM or forward out of position.

Reeves too.

Him being kept on, is criminal.

We must have been one of the unfittest squads in the Championship last year.

Not sure anyone is getting high energy football out of this squad of pensioners and journeymen tbf

Totally agree. Some people on here are so anti Leicester its unbelievable, makes you wonder why they spend most of their day on a Leicester City fans forum if they hate everything about the club. Its not an ideal appointment but we now have to accept he is here and hope he can turn things around

Not my choice, but regardless of the manegerial appointment, It's all about player recruitment in league 1.

We'll basically need 15 new 1st team players that want to play for the shirt and are prepared to fight.

At least we've appointed someone with plenty of time, so no excuses.

This is last chance saloon for RM so if he wants a career after Leicester then he has to get us back to the PL in 2 years.

Watching Leicester’s wingers in the past two seasons has been a truly miserable experience tbh.

Like saying you don't know why people keep moaning about the government when they're doing a horrendous job.

Most fans want whats best for this football club and will be here long after any ownership period. Some may begrudgingly accept the decisions and get behind it for a period, others will hang off their every word and then some when they really have lost the belief will call it out however potentially negative that might be.

I've decided it's best I stay away from games, not been much in revent years anyway but i'll do my bit and make sure I don't contribute to a negative atmosphere. The irony is, the majority of match going fans moaned and groaned at Enzo's football and repeatedly we leave games early en masse and yet that's not negative or anti Leicester and this ownership and management.

Yes I think that's exactly what he's going to do.

Get in a LB, or it's hello Hamza, that can play as a second DM in possession. Use Aluko / Jayden Joseph as a quite high wing back providing width, allowing a right sided player to be closer to the striker, maintaining the width on the left which is probably Mavididi.

I support LCFC, not the regime. The owner - has finally got the manager of his dreams - what a moron he is.

The word salad platitudes in the announcement gave us no clues to what comes next. The manager’s appointment has been a distraction from the day to day reality that the club is on the edge of a financial abyss. Strap yourselves in for the bumpiest scary ride ever. Leicester never do things by half.

Looking at his coaching masterclass video when they smoked Cardiff 4 nil away from home. His set up makes me think both Aluko and Joseph have a real chance of prospering as you say. Aluko could play as wide CB that operates as a box crasher as well with central midfielders screening any advance and Joseph plays as the wing back / winger.

Badly need a solid LB that can do everything. Wonder if Harrison Burrows is willing to drop down the leagues, straight swap for Big H? 😂

This is only another reason the decision is dumb though, they have chosen a manager who was guaranteed to keep the place toxic.

Does he have history of promoting youth and a decent track record with young players?
I’m sure I read somewhere that he did.
That’s what we need to do next season.
Exactly what we should have done last season.

It is absolutely imperative that he gets his coach, assistant and fitness coach in place for pre season.

Oh and a Gk coach.

Luckily Hughes will be with Scotland for the first weeks of pre season.
