Right sentiment but totally lost in his delivery, it needed a bit more Pearson and a bit more of grabbing one of them by throat whilst screaming "You will run for me you little......."

We heard all this waffle at Rangers, “we run, run run” it was the most unfit and disorganised Rangers team I've ever seen.

The only running you will see is your centre halfs trying to make it back into their own box because Veg Lasso has them playing such a high line. Mediocre teams will pepper your goal and the keeper will suffer PTSD from Pepe Guaqamoles' hair-brained tactics

His claim to fame was when he was at MK dons his team made 50-odd passes before scoring a goal - a UK record at the time, but the funny thing is the team lost the bloody game 3-2 and most the passes were between the goalie and centre back!

He's a cretin who thinks possession and XG stats means more than a effing win.

He will be bagged before Christmas if he makes it that long.

You will concede more goals than the club ever has and teams will cut you open at will because he cannot set up a defence.

The wingers will be told to invert into the middle, the midfield will be told to play wide like wingers, the left centre half will be the playmaker even if cannot pass the ball, the full backs will invert into the middle too and the striker will stand up top wondering what his job is because it won't be scoring that's for sure.

Everything will be crammed into the congested middle and your flanks will be wide open.

Prepare for maximum pain

Take it you are a fan of his then

Within 3 games of his tenture at Leicester you will hate him just as much! Mark my words

It does feel like this could get very toxic similar to cooper, he’s not going to be given an ounce of time he really has to hit the ground running

I don’t really think Cooper was that toxic, it only really got bad for him when Forest destroyed us at home, which is kind of understandable. Up to that point most gave him a chance, certainly I remember the start of the season being quite optimistic, especially after a reasonable performance against Spurs

Leicester fans aren’t quite so hateful, some still love Cifuentes now, who is like a Spanish Btec Martin.

Once you suffer defeats from Wycombe and Leyton Orient etc the Leicester faithful will be baying for Sutcliffe's blood!

I'm usually get behind him but genuinely why should we? We asked for any manager but him and they picked him, why should we try and make that decision work for them when we've been explicitly ignored.

If your partner brought a shit house you specifically said you didn't want, after destroying the last house you had, would you be like "well the best course of action is showing your support to that decision"

That’s a completely daft comparison isn’t it? Whilst I loathe the ownership it’s their decision - has there ever been a football club in history where the fans have picked the manager?

I agree nobody on Foxestalk wanted him, including me, but this is a very small and angry  proportion of the fan base - you can see it’s not reflected wider than here given we’ve sold 23.5k season tickets.

I think there is a section of our fan base that want our club to cease to exist as a big gotcha moment for the current ownership.

We desperately need success this season and that won’t happen if we’re sulking about the manager choice like a child who wasn’t allowed any sweets.

A fair few of us have hated him for the last 3 years ever since we were first linked with him and it was inevitable he'd end up here.

Hoping this pitiful level with some of the best academy players in the country might just about make it palatable.

That's what I told myself about the guy in regards to the Scottish premiership - its league 1 level at best.

For reference - Martin was at MK Dons for two seasons in league 1

First season - 19th

Second season - 13th

Swansea in the championship

First season - 13th

Second season - 10th

Rangers -

Lasted 3 months - was sacked when Rangers were sitting 8th in the league, drew every league game bar one! A last-second goal. Rangers have a budget and academy that dwarfs every team in the league combined! (bar R Kelly FC)

His level is a under 14 girls' team at the local park!

Russell Martin has done nothing to merit the job at Leicester. He's not the man to grind out results to get you back up the leagues. Tbh he's the exact opposite of what the club needs at this moment. You would have been better with A pragmatic manager. Dyche or Sam Allerdice would have way better options

This combined with youngsters finding their feet and disinterested players who want out is quite scary.

I'm just hoping it works rather than convinced it will. I think a lot of our fans are just expecting us to storm the league because we came straight back up last time, without looking at how difficult it could be.

Best you can hope for is you blag a playoff place like he did at Southampton - but you're gonna lose a shit tonne of goals that's a given. And upon promotion (if that happens, big IF) you will suffer at a higher level like we seen when the clown tried to play his wacky tactics in the premiership.

It was complete humiliation for them

One of the reasons we came straight back up last time was the quality in the squad - I can't remember every player, I think we had Matty Fryatt, Steve Howard, Matt Oakley, Andy King, Jack Hobbs, Alexander Tunchev, Michael Morrison, maybe Lloyd Dyer and no doubt others I've forgotten.

That's why i'm relieved he's brought a very promising assistant in who can hopefully quickly step in around October time 😂

Max Gradel! Even had the likes of Dickov and DJ Campbell on the bench at times.

We’re so much worse off currently. A lot of work to do before the season starts.

Lives in Brighton apparently. So free board and lodgings at Seagrave Spa. Won't be here long enough to even rent, why would you?

Got paid a combined 10 figure pay off from Soton and Rangers in the same year.  With big pay off from us before Christmas,  got to keep Lucy satisfied.

I’m pretty sure we already do mate. We know what we are getting and 80% of us ****ing hate it. The other 20% think positivity on a forum will help the team. 😂

Curiously, the staff at Saints liked him a lot 🤷

Still never forgiven him for how badly he got it with Gradel and selling him for £250k 😂😂😂

I looked like such a tit at school telling everyone he'd be out next big thing. Only for him to be banished.

Even Sir Nige is allowed to make bad decisions.
