Still no news on his backroom staff.

How many “internal reviews” are we due now?

Yet, we still keep the set of coaches for accepting the highest paid but laziest bunch of dossers in the Championship last season.

I genuinely can’t forgive anyone involved in those awful running stats last season.

Perhaps still negotiating for Gill at WBA. All gone quiet on the ex-Barnsley manager.

Wouldn't it be the most Leicester City thing ever, to finally listen to fans to go out and get the manager they want early, only to then not bring any backroom staff for 2 months

It's more like KPFC to go out and get the manager no one wanted, within an acceptable time-frame (for a change), and then find that not only did no one want him, but no one wants to work with him either, not even his previous backroom staff. 🤡👍

The shortcomings of Scotland, with a starting 11 that he's been nowhere near, being used as a stick to beat him with is getting a bit ridiculous now.

eh, the way Scotland played v Brazil is pure brussball though - kamikaze defending, trying to get very limited CBs to pass round good players. Ok there's no one on a par with Vini Jr in league one, but Okoli is no more capable of playing like Beckenbauer than Scott McKenna was. Might have been Jurassic Clarke rather than Brussel setting it up but the philosophy that killed Scotland that game is one Martin subscribes to

I've come to a point of morbid curiosity at this point, all the average teams at the World Cup playing possession football and getting shown up by a basic press has me wondering just how bad it's going to get watching us most likely double down on those clearly outdated tactics.

It's going to be genuinely funny watching us get pumped by Notts County, four years after we were FA Cup holders and they were getting beaten by Coalville Town.

Yet only a couple of years ago those of us who questioned why we had this style were called dinosaurs and that possession football is the only way to be successful.

No doubt it can be if you have the resources of a Man City but we don’t have a pot to piss in. Last season I wouldn’t even say the argument of teams sitting back against us was relevant. Teams took the game to us, dominated us in all ways. We’d have been better returning to our previous ways of hitting teams quickly on transition.

We might find teams sit back and give us respect early on this coming season but I bet it changes quickly when they realise we are there for the taking and won’t offer a threat on the break.

Probably doesn't have the same tactical belief to Martin but he has a leadership attitude and won't stand for moaning toxic plonkers.

This could work... Bring him home!

No chance Fuchs comes in, Martin would know that the minute it turns a little sour, the fans will be pushing for Fuchs to replace him.

Imagine that a) Fuchs likely has another number 1 role lined up, and b) Newport are financially unable to do enough this summer to improve on relegation scrap
