Just move him on and then move on Ballard.  However, I do not think we can let both him and Nelson go in this window.

Yeah, neither of them will be here by the end of the window.

Probably not best suited to Russell-Ball tbh. He’s looked a bit cumbersome since he’s been back. If he wants to go and we can get 7-10m I’d let him go. If Nelson wants to leave, let him go too. Same with Okoli and Faes. Just invest some of the money on centre backs that can defend and play out from the back at this level and who actually want to be at the club. Then if/when we get promoted, upgrade again

I can see a reason for each of them leaving but the thought of all 4 leaving in the same window horrifies me for some reason..

We are 100% stuck with Okoli.

Aren't loyalty bonuses essentially based on players not asking to leave, could be we're trying to force his hand in to requesting it

If true and he handed in a transfer request, then loyalty bonus is voided.

If Nelson moves to any of the clubs in the media mentioned, he could probably double his money on a long term contract. Why would he stick at a cash strapped League 1 club with no guarantee of going up to cash in any kind of bonus

Offer it. He might be 4th choice where he could go for all we know.

He probably will be, but he would also probably rather be 4th choice on double the money than first choice here.

Yup. But he needs to play regularly. Offer it, or leave if you dont want it.

Has anyone else noticed Okoli does that thing kids used to do at school, where anytime they screw up they pretend they got injured lol pretty sure in the friendly he did a fake hammy because he got caught on the ball a few moments before

Yeah i called this a week ago! Lose Souttar, Nelson, probably Faes and keep a bloke that doesn't look at the level of L1 from what I've seen from pre-season....yikes.

He also covers his face when he has made a mistake. Like you see kids do.

He's definitely L1 level, actually think him and Nelson would smash it as a pair.

Sheffield United are in talks with Leicester City over a deal to bring Australian international defender Harry Souttar back to the club.

Blades manager Chris Wilder has confirmed discussions are ongoing with the Foxes to sign the 27-year-old, who spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Bramall Lane.

"He's one that obviously has got history with us and we have been linked with him as well," Wilder told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"We've already had conversations with Leicester about taking him, so the conversations will be ongoing.

"He's a player that obviously I like and he had a great time on the pitch for us and off the pitch with the supporters. They rated him and they valued him."

9 mil is a decent deal for a player we (wrongly) never really used; shame we won't reinvest this money, of course

depending on which turn of events you read… but we have met all our Ozzie bank requirements for this season so what we bring in now, we should be able to reinvest..

In talks but no tools to get the job done

If we can reinvest I'd sell for £5m, but hopefully can push it quite a bit higher.

I'm fed up with players who don't want to be at Leicester, and according to TransferMarket the biggest League One spenders last year were:

- Luton Town £3.4m

- Huddersfield £2.4m

- Peterborough 2..3m

If it's true we've settled our debts and any incomings can now be reinvested, I wouldn't want to hold out for £10m if

a) nobody worth that will come here

b) it will just inflate the market for anyone we do bid for

Appreciate we need to be thinking long term and getting out of League One isn't the only aim, but if we're carrying too many grumpy players who don't want to risk an injury for their next move we won't get out of the league anyway.

Okoli is a donkey. If hes our starting centre back he will get sent off at least twice this season and be responsible for a goal against us every other game.

How good do you think the average L1 CB is technically?

He's physically fine which is important in L1.

Physically fine sure but hes extremely clumsy and poor on the ball. Its staggering how someone scouted this guy (or equally so if we didn't) 2 years ago and thought he will fit right in in the best league in the world
