Slimani? Musa? Not signing Lookman? 1

Yeah if we can somehow sell him for £5m+ at some point hopefully But I get the feeling his is just gonna end up being another one we are stuck with until his contract ends because of how much we need to sell him for 3 years to go! 2

I feel that he won’t improve so we will only see the absolute pits. He plays football like a dog chasing the ball, rushes in to bundle the opposition rather than make a tackle. I’m sure he is at his level in L1 but all we will see is back pass without even attempting to look forwards or turn and then go missing for 20 passes around the back.

Unless he somehow manages an Ndidi-under-Enzo-esque turn around in wanting to go forward then I would be surprised to see Martin use him Although you never know, I also wouldn't be surprised that for whatever stupid reason Martin manages to find that he (and Choudhury) somehow end up ahead of Braybrooke and Page 1

Martin will use the cope of ex England/internationals/prem experience and build the team around JV, Thomas, Winks, Hamza and Skipp. Yes men lemmings that are happy to play his boring until they piss around too much and give the ball away style of play. Same idiots, same style of play, same results. I hope I am wrong. It will be disgusting if we have to see Skipp high up the pitch but then stinking the attack out with a backward pass.
Old Man Posted 5 July Posted 5 July Maybe this is his level, we will see. Obviously no one will buy him. 1
lcfc sheff Posted 5 July Posted 5 July I genuinely hate him, no matter how innocent he looks, no matter how he can’t control the fee he came for etc etc hes just a reminder of awful business 1
FrankieADZ Posted 14 July Posted 14 July (edited) from/full credit to @GLC Norwich have enquired about Skipp....on loan with obligation/option to buy(they'd cover his wages, be a loan fee etc) Edited 14 July by FrankieADZ 2

Had his best spell at Norwich, and would leave us with the below in midfield, if the likes of BDCR, Chaplin and Alves are all seen as 8/ 10’s in Martins system. Braybrooke / Choudhury Alves / BDCR Page / Chaplin 1
SB87_LCFC Posted 14 July Posted 14 July I personally think a loan is the best we could hope for with him, were not going to get the dizzy heights of £15m which I believe is what we quoted Boro when they enquired. Still, stranger things have happened, look at the money we got for Soumare 1
jimsmallman Posted 14 July Posted 14 July Norwich being in for him is brilliant news. They loved him when he was there on loan so we won't be rumbled if their management looks at their fan forums to check if there's been a meltdown.

Grebfromgrebland Posted 14 July Posted 14 July This is good news but we'll take a hit on the transfer fee but hopefully get his wages off the books
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 14 July Posted 14 July The only way to view Skipp the next few seasons is how can you make the financial hit less painful. Fully covering wages and a loan fee is the best we can probably hope for. 3
coolhandfox Posted 18 July Posted 18 July Middlesbrough getting 15m as part of the Rodgers deal to Chelsea! Couldn't this fund their interest in Skipp.
Clever Fox Posted 18 July Posted 18 July 4 hours ago, coolhandfox said: Middlesbrough getting 15m as part of the Rodgers deal to Chelsea! Couldn't this fund their interest in Skipp. Hopefully Middlesbrough bite and we get rid of him. He was always a dodgy signing. 1
Popular Post fleckneymike Posted 19 July Popular Post Posted 19 July One of the most unnecessary signings ever. Signed to play a position we didn’t need cover for, for a fee far in excess of his worth and a level of ability below those already in the squad. There was some ‘logic’ to other failed signings like Slimani and Musa but non at all for Skipp. 9
