MMMMMM so according to Borsen (knows fa really) KP have been trying to sell the club for two years?  I find that hard to believe.  Plus he states we are not a premier league club, stating the obvious.

His article neither confirms or denies anything and is pure speculation.

Man knows nothing and, is, basing his bias claptrap on  assumptions.

I wish this man would just shut up regarding our club.

Makes sense tbf given 2 years ago is when Aiyawatt lost his control of the King Power Group

A club that gets promoted instantly back to the Championship would be worth way more than one that is potentially stuck in the lower divisions and selling off any assets for years to come. Yeah it's a risk, but there is potential for higher reward too.

I just think we seem decent until they see the stupid bank loan deals the club have taken

He is the major share holder, how do they pull rank on him

By giving him between 25m-50m quid to deposit in the club's bank account to keep his shambles alive

Doesn’t really make sense, they pull rank on him by giving him money?

They don’t get to have the final say on that decision.

Plus the last debt to equity conversion, came from 2 different revenue streams Top and KP

On the principle of why would someone pay more for Leicester over Middlesborough.

I think the value of a football club is based on four things.

1. Playing squad - we’ve gone from €520m in 21/22, to €60m as of today. Bonkers. Middlesborough has a more valuable squad than us. If anything as we sell players, it will drop in the immediate future. However I would

anticipate the likes of Page, Carr, Nelson etc will have breakout years and the values increase with a return to the Championship.

2. Infrastructure - we win this with ease. Stadiums are relatively similar, we are more ideally located being in the Midlands. We have one of the world’s best training facilities. Belvoir Drive if you need it, then you consider all the land we own for the stadium redevelopment.

3. Brand - again, this is in our favour, as we have a larger reach albeit we haven’t capitalised on it very well at all. You could argue you’d make the £40’lm difference back in a rebuilding Leicester documentary in a similar vein to the ones Sunderland / Wrexham have trotted out. Russell Martin would be a great front for this.

4. Future earnings potential - This is 50/50. Short term I’d suggest you’d get more from Middlesbrough, due to them being in the Championship. Longer term, with our foreign fan base, expansion potential etc, we are a better bet.

That makes sense ….. I think.

Just as a side note... I'm guessing OH Leuven will also be part of the deal? Don't think that adds much more to the valuation, but I see no reason why King Power would keep OHL as only club in their portfolio as it is more valuable together with Leicester, although the exchange of players over the seasons has been rather limited (had a quick check, found Elliott Moore, Bartosz Kapustka, George Hirst, Daniel Iversen, Kamal Sowah, Nathan Opoku, Josh Eppiah, Filip Benković, Andy King...)

Oh come on, don't be naive. There are strings - informal and formal -  attached to all sorts of financial support; mortgage lender to house owner. Credit cards to consumers. Parents to kids. Friend to friend..

There is little realistic chance that the idiot has managed to secure 25m-50m of money ....let alone secure it and there be no strings attached.

The likeliest scenario is that he's been bailed out by the family business in order to keep the thing alive, in order to sell it s a going concern

it would also mean they are 12 months further down the line from getting their investment back ( prem football)  or building up their investment. Besides, who says we are going into administration anyway?

So his been bailed out by the family business, which he own 55% of.

its not like its a 10% share holding and the other family members are helping.

He doesn’t need to be bailed out when he could essentially make that decision anyway.

You seem to speculate like you know the inner workings of their finances.

I’m just going off what’s written on the club website

Need a lot more detail than this… in principal and knowing a lot more I’d go with it if it brings in more money (cus like it or not that’s what football is these days)

Dunno quite what your point is. My comments are all speculation. I know nada. But, like the police investigating a crime, the working hypothesis is 'the most likely explanation is the most likely explanation' ....

I think you are awarding the prize idiot way too much credit. Owning 55% of a business and 100% of a subsidiary doesn't mean he's immune to being lectured/schooled/bullied/persuaded by the executive management and family members on how to salvage the mess he's created.

The mechanics/ politics of Family, money and business are as old as time..

I think there are several different motivations, and they often get lumped together under the label “AI slop.”

For some people, it’s simply novelty. Typing “Batman eating beans in a medieval pub” and getting an image in seconds still feels magical. They’re not trying to create art in the traditional sense—they’re enjoying the absurdity.

Others are after wish fulfilment. AI lets people visualise things they’d never otherwise see: themselves as a Jedi, a Victorian version of their hometown, a film that doesn’t exist, or an alternate history. It’s closer to daydreaming than to painting.

Then there’s low-effort social media content. Platforms reward frequent posting and eye-catching images. AI can generate dozens of images in the time it would take an illustrator to sketch one. If someone’s goal is engagement rather than artistic expression, it makes economic sense.

Some people genuinely use it as a creative tool:

Concept art for games or films.

Mood boards.

Story inspiration.

Rapid prototyping before commissioning an artist.

That use is quite different from endlessly posting “Jesus made of shrimp” or “Minions at 9/11” images for clicks.

The term “AI slop” is usually reserved for the latter: huge volumes of low-quality, repetitive, engagement-bait content with little originality or intent beyond harvesting views.

If you’re someone who enjoys writing, filmmaking, or carefully crafted creative work, it’s understandable why it can feel baffling. Much of the satisfaction in creating comes from making choices, solving problems, and developing a skill over time. Watching an algorithm churn out hundreds of superficially impressive images can feel like it’s skipping the very part that makes art meaningful.

At the same time, not everyone values the same thing. Some people value the process of creating; others just want the result. AI image generation caters very well to the second group.

So I don’t think the appeal is mysterious—it just appeals to different motivations. Where it becomes controversial is when the output is presented as if it required artistic skill, or when it’s used to flood feeds and drown out work made with more care and intention.

I agree with you.

2015 - 2017, we were very recognisable. I’m

not sure enough people externally now care about the FA Cup either, for that to change the dial.

However, if you were to say I’m just nipping to Jack Wills, Superdry and Hollister to do some clothes shopping, then off to Prezzo for lunch, then to game to pick up Witcher 3. Hopefully my Fitbit clocks the 19,000 steps I’m going to do.

That mosh mash of a sentence makes sense in 2016ish. Those brands don’t really carry anywhere near the weight now.

We are more marketable than Middlesbrough, however I’d say we have been overtaken by the likes of West Ham, Forest, Leeds, Wrexham, Sunderland etc, so are already falling.

Our brand social media wise which lets be honest in this day and age is what advertisers care about is still significantly bigger than any of those

It means a lot to advertisers though and the size of the brand thats the point I was quite clearly making
