Seagrave valued at £121m. You'd think the stadium and surrounding land, with outline planning consent, would be worth more.

The assets will have much more value however that will be offset by the family investment - they have switched debt go equity but still they will want to recoup something however the liabilities to run the club will also be a huge factor. The club has mortgaged all future income so likely that despite significant asset value any potential buyer will mark that down as investment to run the club for the next 2-3 years will be huge and that would be including promotion !

Proven good use of a multi club model - way too good to be true

He could see it is a bargain because he would get Leuven as well

I’m raging that one Reddit post has got me so full of hope. Imagine a competent owner with 4 decent sides under his control - I’d even take us being a middling championship side if we saw a conveyer belt of exciting young talent come through and entertain us.

I just wanted to point out to everyone that since they have had to prepare a prospectus there is no un-named Middle East buyer because if there was why bother.

That is absolute tripe and not how it works. They will be running a proper process, even if there is or isn't a ''preferred bidder'' they will be warming up other potential buyers in the meantime, they will want a whole market approach. If they manage to get some other interested parties then that will provide some competitive tension on price and deliverability of the deal etc.

So the chat about interested Middle Eastern parties was either guff or we had interest and it’s evaporated.  Hence the sale  prospectus being  issued now.

See above for Tommy's answer

Quite right, so much denial on here its beginning to annoy me.

Is that good or bad?

I'm a big Chicago Fire fan too, it's not been the same since Jesse Spencer left imo, but at least we still have Taylor Kinney

Well, KP have to sell the club. It's a non negotiable. They can't afford to run it anymore..

They'll either sell at a respectable price, or sell for peanuts (and probs agree a triggered performance payment)  or, it goes bust and they get absolutely nothing..

Not selling is not an option..

On first examination of us, we are going to need a lot of money to purchase us due to the assets and debt, but it will be someone or a group with very deep pockets.

Unfortunately, gone are the days when local

businessmen owned clubs, and Jack Walker at Blackburn was the real first benefactor, but even he with his wealth would struggle to buy us.

Hence someone will come in, and with deep pockets.  We are still a rather attractive proposition as money would generally be no object to these prospective owners now.

The Chicago Fire owner looks a good bet and it is very random if one of their fans is quoting us.

Not just any div 1 club

100% even when Charlie was talking about Sunderland on BSLB we have done amazing things in recent times.

Someone might see it as a romantic option.

This is what I was thinking.  We should

be a Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth at the very least in relation to what we achieved.

The romantic footballing equivalent of getting fingered on a park bench while clutching 2 litres of white lightening.
