3 year deal for a guy who is 32 in November is disgraceful unless he is on about 1 grand a week

Apart from those who think he's

- too old

- too expensive

- too injured

- blocking Alves' career

- earning too much

- not good enough

tbf we could sign a world class player etc that ticks all the boxes and some sponges on here would still moan

yet some would have Vardy back in a heartbeat....even tho hes almost 40 and would want upwards of 40+k a week

IF he stays fit, then he will be a very good player to have in League 1 and the Championship.

We have had some great performing over 30s before, although we have been burned many times too.

Hopefully this one works out and he helps us with promotion and a push at playoffs the year after, especially if we have new owners by then.

At least it is a very low transfer fee

Lmao £75k this all seems dodgy. Signs a new deal then we sign him for that. What’s the point why didn’t he leave on a free and get a better signing on fee/wage

Just signed a 1 year deal with Ipswich…Bet he couldn’t believe his luck when we rocked up and offered 3 years

Premier League player dropping to League 1... Not that lucky.

Tbf I do think he will do really well for us this season but then what? Will just be another player who will see out his contract and leave on a free. Seems very shortsighted but standard for us. I guess the only positive is he should actually make an impact unlike the likes of Ayew and Reid.
