Played very well yesterday though he gave the Ball away a few times a little too easily. Once we nearly got turned over.

But at least he tried to play forward passes unlike Skipp who I think played one forward pass all game.

I think Aluko can make more surging runs forward with his pace to get in behind defenders, especially when we are looking to get back into games.

But for a defensive roll like in Cup or tight games, Joseph is a solid choice for RB.

Great to have 2 young prospects for that position- after Ricardo who was made of glass for about 5 seasons.

Should have paid him off 2 years ago.

Another bad business and football decision.

Has anyone said that he’s a “Manchester City fan” yet?

Hope he’s not a Leicester fan, that would be demoralising enough to turn anyone off the football

Our best defender today by some distance.

Strong, fast, calm, composed and good technical ability too.

He could've played upfront and I think he'd be better than any option that we currently have.

The best compliment you can pay him is that we'd be absolutely buzzing if we had signed him from Tranmere rather than him originally being ours and coming back from a loan if that makes sense.

Will be interesting how Aluko and him fit into the same side as we absolutely have to integrate them both.

Hopefully he can stay fit. He missed a good chunk of last season

One needs to play LB or learn to play LB.

Seems like he’s got all the tools a 2020s genuinely attacking RB needs. I haven’t watched a lot of either admittedly but he looks much more explosive than Aluko - who is no slouch by any means but not rapid.

Aluko is definitely the quicker of the two.

JJ is clearly quick but Aluko is probably one of the quickest in the squad.

A big reason why I’m pretty desperate for him to get a regular spot in the starting 11!
