Pretty sure this is what was said the exact same time last year and the attitude is part of the reason we’re now in the third tier.

No. It isn't.

Anything but promotion is a disaster

This league is absolute muck

Trouble is so are we hence

I can see us disappearing again.   Also worried that we have lost what made this club rise in the first place with focus on good professional players with a point to prove sprinkled with some quality youngsters.   The deadwood remains whilst one of best crop of youngsters we have ever had are sold or being sold.

I see a super computer has predicted us to finish 4th, where do you think we'll be.

Super computer is a load of tosh! Hate that terminology.

It will all boil down to if we have a good striker capable of at least 20

I agree. I think we are going to have massive amounts of possession in most games but I think we will struggle to make create chances due to teams sitting so deep so it will come down to having a striker who can make our opportunities count.

Completely impossible to predict until after the transfer window closes.

I think that game last week is probably doing a lot of heavy lifting and I'm guilty of it myself. I really hope that was teething problems rather than a sign of things to come, but unfortunately history really isn't kind on this sort of thing. I had similar thoughts after the Wednesday game a year ago, and Martin is pretty renowned for having games like that. We won it but the opposition were genuine muck, even relative to this league.

Lots of it hinges on how good Bristric actually is and how fit he stays. If we're really not bothering with any more forwards then we are hinging on this lad being brilliant - which he might be.

I think a lot of our recruitment has been loading into the same position while leaving other key areas undercooked. Centre halves remain an issue and could change a lot in the next two weeks.

But the flip side is maybe things do just click. Maybe Martin does start to turn his career around. Maybe our signings are just a bit too good for the opposition. If all this happens, we will walk it.

There are just a few too many concerns for me to have any confidence in. That confidence will only properly return when I see proper evidence of it.

3rd.

Not enough information yet, top half? Need to see 5-10 games really. Have we stopped the slide and reversed course already? Maybe.

I remain very worried about us at the back.

We only have a rough idea of how shit we are, so unlikely to have any idea how shite everybody else is.

Could we be the least shite of the lot?

I'd like to think so.

Recent history isn't exactly on our side though.

Minimum is promotion even if that's going up via playoff . But really Leicester should be going up as champions.

We should and probably will dominate most games so all depends if we can break down deep blocks and not get caught on counter.

Attacking wise apart from a second striker we'll be okay.

Defensively and centre midfield I think we're desperately short.

I can see us being 2nd

What's the thinking now after yesterday's game?

I think we'll be mid table, I don't think with this style of football that we'll finish any higher.
