I had hoped (despite the appointment of Martin) after a few years of having our weekends ruined by City losing so often by playing in a way that we could all see was doomed, that this season, at the lower level, we might win a few.

I’ve learnt already, the signings Martin wants are agreeable players… not because they can play his way. McCarthy and Cullen both are not suited which is funny. But they are not possession players… he just knows they are in his corner and that’s what it’s all about
