Final post from me on this because I've seen some absolutely crazy takes on his time here.

From the start of the 2017/18 season (I can't remember exactly when he started playing for the first team) he made 121 out of a possible 320 league appearances for us. 37%.

A huge proportion of those will have been substitute appearances as well.

About 50% I'd imagine.

I need to see the stats on how many we conceded since he was brought on because it must be very high.

Should have gone years ago. Shouldn't have got a new contract. Has left for free on a one year deal (who knew they were possible?).

For me he embodied the lack of standards and accountability at the club.

And the total lack of any footballing nouse or ability of JR and the rest of the management team.

Apparently had a very poor debut according to my Sheffield United mate. They don’t want to see him again. 🤔

Nothing strange about that. Had most games for us as poor. We didn’t want to see him.

Well he is very limited.

The only thing he was useful for was his versatility in that he could play at RB and CB. But he didn’t excel anywhere

From the Sheff Utd fans forum.

Choudhury 2/10 - Had a nightmare 2nd debut. He started badly and was off the pace all night. He then seemed to be out of position, not reacting and the winger beat him every time it felt. 2nd half they just went to the lad Gale and he tore him apart. Surprised he stayed on - Doherty clearly is not able to play? Only caveat as he had little protection but then he has to be tighter. My concern was he looked shattered after 15 minutes. Kept looking at the bench as if to say, 'help!'

I did find it strange him going back there.
Also Wilder was saying how well he did a few years ago there.
I’m never that sure on players returning to previous clubs.
Not complaining and glad he’s gone but only on a 1 year deal just seems very odd to me.

He's someone you've got to give a simple task to i.e. win it and give it to someone who can play.

How was it strange if the manager who thought he did well wanted him back?

More to do with how long ago he was there.
3 or 4 seasons ago and in that time after he’s been involved in 2 back to back relegations.
In that time it’s not as if he’s been one of our best players if anything he’s been one of the worst.
I would have thought Sheffield Utd could have got someone better in. Not that difficult really.
They can’t be that keen on him if they’re only offering him a 1 year deal.

I reckon they've just seen it as low risk to give him one year and hope that he can find some form away from our circus and somewhere he has done well previously.

Really they should have looked elsewhere because of how limited he is and how much he's not likely to improve or equal what he did on the first loan.

No surprise he's unfit.

Wonder what utds training facilities are like.

Chris Wilder seems the type to 'say it as it is' to players he's unhappy with.

Am sure he'll have a word with Hamza if he hasn't already.
