I thought Page and Braybrooke really tired after 80 mins… would be good if we had any sort of midfield depth to help them out a bit.

Braybrooke and Page are an incredible midfield two. Staff at the academy should be super proud 

They worked their socks off. The young lads all had decent games. Long may it last

Needed the win but at times we were very poor. Young lads did very well. Not convinced by Martin or his tactics. Still think he’s the wrong man for us. But let’s see. Bobbie needs dropping from somewhere very high. Cullen, well he disappears on his own.

I was thinking about that at the time and wasn't sure who else he could have brought on. We didn't have any game-changers on the bench, that was probably our best available starting 11. You could suggest Carr instead of Burns or take off BDCR instead of Bristric, but one hasn't played in a competitive match and the other is still getting up to speed.

A lot of our players were blowing very hard by the end of the game which will do their fitness levels a power of good for the future.

People say this but didn't you see how tired Page and Braybrooke were, We don't have the engine for a intense pressing game and we're not physical or defensively solid enough to play counter attacking football. I don't really see what else we can play other than possession football.

Those subs at the start at the 2nd half were baffling.

We need a bastard no.6. Our midfield despite being pretty good on the ball looks lightweight.

Still a lot to work on and I don’t think I’ll ever be a convert to this style of football. But it’s just so nice to have a team and squad that look like they actually give a damn.

I'm numb after that. After 42 minutes it was NURSE!! and I was ready to put a blood pressure pill under my tongue. Did McCarthy really play tippy tappy inside the six yard box, with what looked like a Plymouth player also inside the six yard box? 

Then at times the passing was Brazil, but often more like the Blue Brazil. Never seen so many mis-placed passes, and balls hit just out of someone's reach, or a player showing too much of the ball, or knocking it too far in front. Never once felt comfortable at 2-0. Page great, but some poor passes even from him. Alves and Braybrooke excellent. McCarthy good and bad. Thomas assured apart from one time, when out muscled. 

The two early substitutions were bizarre. Fifty-two minutes is such an odd time to make them for starters. Is seven minutes enough to see if it's working? Neither had done anything wrong second half. Bristric had just had a good run and needs to stay on and get that first goal, (looked disappointed to be replaced) and Howell must have been buzzing after scoring, yet both replaced.

Someone earlier said the whole game was weird, and that probably sums it up best 🤷‍♂️

Bristric I would've left for another 10/15. Seems we're letting him play an hour each time for now.
