We are delighted to announce that Jayden Joseph has signed a new four-year deal with Leicester City, keeping him with us until the summer of 2030.

The 20-year-old extends his stay with the Foxes to 2030
He scored on his league debut at Notts County last month
The 20-year-old full-back has enjoyed an impressive start to the 2026/27 season, featuring prominently in five of our six games so far and scoring on his league debut for City against Notts County on the opening day.
A graduate of the Club’s highly regarded Academy, Jayden joined us at Under-16 level and impressed in the development phase of our Academy pathway before a productive loan spell with Tranmere Rovers last term.
Speaking to LCFC.com, he said: “I’m so happy to get this deal done and to commit my future to Leicester City.
“When a club like this wants to offer you a new deal it’s very hard to turn down. I’ve enjoyed my time here and I’m excited to continue the journey.
“It’s a nice feeling knowing that I’m involved in the project we’re building here. I’m really happy to be a part of it.”

Leicester City Sporting Director James McCarron said: "Jayden has made outstanding progress during his time with the Club and is a young player with an exciting future in the game. We’re really pleased that future will be in a Leicester City shirt and look forward to seeing him continue to develop in our First Team environment.
“Congratulations to him, to his family and to the staff throughout the Academy and the wider Club that have supported his development to this point, and that will continue to support his future growth.”
Born in Huddersfield, Jayden joined us as an Under-16 following a period in Manchester City’s Academy. He signed his first professional contract in 2024 and gained senior experience on loan at Tranmere during the 2025/26 season.
His displays at Prenton Park saw him become a key player for the Wirral outfit, making 35 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals for the League Two club.
This term, he has become a regular starter for the Foxes under Russell Martin, producing some fine displays from right-back, including during Tuesday night’s first win of the season over Plymouth Argyle.
City are back in action at King Power Stadium on Saturday for the League One visit of Oxford United.

Been sensational, and for me a bit unexpected. Seems really humble too, but with confidence, speed and physicality. Should be very happy with himself.

I saw him play a couple of years ago and I claim to be no scout but I could see the lad had got it then. 

 

Strong, quick and a great temperament. 

 

Everything those sacks of shit didn't have last season.

They could but more people will see this and it's the start of him being a fully fledge 1st team player rather than an Academy player.

 

More simple put  - he deserves a new thread.

Really pleased for him, been one of the surprises of the season really. Plus it shows the benefit of a good loan for a younger player. I was definitely expecting Aluko to be first choice but feel like Joseph just has an edge on composure.

Reminds me of a combo of Simpson and Pereira (at a lower level obviously) which is just about the best compliment you can give him. Very complete at this level, hopefully he can progress through the leagues with us.

He has been immense. Just needs to be more aware of runners behind his back.

Has enough pace to cut out most of these but will get better and better. Highest ceiling out of all our youngsters I think.

Top player, hope he goes on to grow with us and play at the highest level (with us)

 

just proves the club are obviously tying down all our players so if we dont hear anything from the like of braybrooke soon id be worried!
