Absolutely correct, we have a club and players with the weakest mentality in football and the resilience of balsa wood. Something fundamentally wrong here. I have been following them since I was a nipper. Went to every home game from 63 to 67…still got all the programs lol. But this is definitely the worst it’s ever been. Would not be at all surprised to see us fighting relegation again this season.

In terms of managerial appointments, this is the nadir.  There is nowhere left to go from Russell Martin.  It can only get better, so that's a positive.

There is a map guide which usually dictates which teams play in which regions. The FA and the league makes the decisions on league allocations for edge cases.

 

To answer the second question, yes teams can be moved in between seasons to facilitate a realignment of the divisions. There have been instances of teams as south as Gloucester being placed in the National League North from the National League South due to more southern teams being relegated from the National League.

 

There is a period after the allocations are announced where clubs can appeal and make a case to be moved to another division, in which they usually argue that they cannot afford the increased travel costs.

I think the problem is that we have all of the trappings of a Premier League club but are completely in the shite in Division 1.

We look likely to go down even without a points deduction. It’s then a case of whether we can continue to exist and if so can we do any better in League 2 which is debatable. You would hope that if we went to non league we would have too much for most teams but we really don’t know what sort of players we would have by that stage.
