Protest action 2026/27???

Just wondering with the current position of the club what would it take for protests to recommence this season and what form would they take if there was people actually willing to get involved.

 

Granted the club is up for sale but issues are persisting and only worsening and it gets to a point where discontent does need to be shown.

Problem is, even if more people have deflected away from Aiyawatt’s arsehole since the last protests, the majority of our neutered fan base just won’t do it. We don’t have it in us. Those of us who did join the last protests have at least got some joy in that the club is now up for sale but realistically, other than boycotting games, it will be similar to the last ones - i.e a couple of hundred storming the streets max.

Even boycotting won't help much now as they already have the hard earned from 24,000 fans. It all feel's so helpless, hopeless.

 

The club has lost it's soul. Our only hope is a clean sweep with new ambitious owners.

Im all for it, and support it, but with the club being up for sale already, what would we be demanding? Sacking Martin?

It's short term sacrifice for long term gain. Or, in this case, making sure Leicester City continues to exist. 

 

We've won 19 league games in the last 3 and a bit seasons, with 5 different managers, despite having a significant advantage over most opposition teams.

 

The club is literally dying and people are sat there grinning into the middle distance like it's all OK. It really, really isn't and the club is rotting itself to inexistence.

What should’ve happened was, when large amounts of fans (myself included) gave up their season tickets at the end of last season, no one should’ve jumped in to take our places. We’ve should’ve left them unsold. Of course we didn’t and we sold out because our fan base are a bunch of wet wipes. Now, if people do boycott they’re just losing their money because the club already have it and don’t care. 
 

My advice: Email the club and tell them you want to give up your season ticket and then cancel your direct debit, don’t just cancel your DD because you’re not cancelling your season ticket you’re just getting charges added for failed direct debits. Don’t give the club another penny until Aiyawatt and Rudkin have gone. I can’t emphasise this enough, STOP FUNDING FAILURE!

It needs less threads and social media posts about restarting the protests, and more people doing something about it.

 

We can’t just rely on the same people.

I did indeed bin off my ST in the summer after years of debating it. I was so pessimistic about where the club was going, but appointing Martin and getting schooled by minnows every week is even worse than I predicted.

I am pretty tolerant of different opinions but at the end yesterday I stood in disbelief at people applauding these players. OK don’t boo but applaud why there was nothing positive in yesterdays performance. It’s at that point I realized there will be no successful protest at Leicester City.

I think the time for Protest has passed us by. Some of us tried but not enough. Boycott games will never get enough joining in . We are a hopeless case.

We need to organise it for a home game and it needs to go much further than foxestalk. We need:

 

- people like @Ric Flairwho have a wider reach to really push it on socials etc and with their contacts..

 

- a crowdfund setting up to purchase all the banners etc so the message is consistent and people can just turn up and take part. 

 

- Media need to be made aware that is going to happen for maximum exposure. 

 

Staring a thread on FT won't cut it alone. You can get 200 yes in a poll that would equate to probably 20 people turning up on the day.

 

It needs to be pushed much wider and you'd hope once it starts building momentum more more people would want to be involved.

I was at both of the marches. However, it's difficult to muster up any support at the minute because the club is up for sale. What are we protesting? Getting rid of owners that are actively trying to sell the football club?

I see your point but the continued fan pressure might be the tipping point to take a reduced bid. If we make their life as uncomfortable as possible they might just cut their losses quicker. 

 

Maybe a tiered approach to protests could work? So action that gets progressively intense which potential buyers could use to their benefit when bidding...

What would be the aim of a protest? As it stands the club is for sale...if almost anyone walks up with some $$$$... it will be sold. 

I cannot see how a protest has any effect, beyond making people feel something, which i acknowledge for some can be reason enough.

I dont have an answer, but booing and protest isnt going to help right now, we have a very young side who i think (from 12000 miles away) are trying, and need support. We need them to grow and improve if the club is to do the same

Im not going to another game decided after the 4th goal and im certainly subjecting my son to it 

 

As I said through the stadium was virtually full so I see little hope boycotting will work

I'd like to think that a protest prevents KP sitting this out hoping for better terms. Any prospective owner will surely have better negotiating power if they see the hostility towards the ownership has led to protests and reduced attendance.
