I'm not sure what you're watching so I'll explain it to you.

We're intentionally playing the ball within our back 7 to draw them on. 

When they do the press us if we beat the press were attacking extremely quickly which is where pretty much all our chances have come from. 

It's not a slow build up, it's an intentional attempt to draw them towards us so we can spring forward quickly.

Got to be happy with that half, albeit you’d have liked us to have got that second goal.

 

We’ve looked excellent on the ball, scored an excellent goal and created plenty more meaningful chances; and the feeling has to be that our final ball selection will only improve as the team settles with each other more.

 

It’s also been much better defensively, with Barnsley not having much in terms of shots at goal despite some moments of territory and pressure.

 

I was like the intensity in our play - lots of sprints / hard running in attack and in the press.

 

The key now is to keep focus into the second half.

we seem to be content playing it down the wings a lot for this game… need to be more direct. There is always the risk we press the self implode button so need a couple more for sure!

The goal came from some first time passes, no opportunity for Barnsley to adjust, hope the penny drops that that’s the way in.

I like the way that one side decided to make it a physical scrap of a match and the other (us) said “Nah, we’ll just outplay you with the ball”. Of course you need a bit of both but good to see we didn’t get drawn into a stop start lottery of a match.
 

Just seen the Thomas chance again, how did he not just move it on to Riis, the specialist finisher of the two, was he more interested in trying to win a penalty?

He's absolutely levels below his natural level - albeit a gaff is only ever one pass away

 

. He's tarred with our overall decline and bares the brunt of fan frustration of numerous things with the club; chiefly because he has a laconic style,.is good looking and has flamboyant hair - all things most Leicester people despise..

I'm not disputing what you're saying,it's just that as proven in previous games we are vulnerable at the back because of our inability to be consistent with that style of play. On occasions we do need an alternative.
