And you actually believe that??

There’s one born every day!!

Well what do you think they might get ?

I don’t think Man C will be demoted right down the leagues no but can see some sort of punishment like this .

Oh dear another idiot 🙈🙈

So why are they innocent? Yeah if theyre found guilty of 1 or 20 even offences then fair enough. But 114/115 is pretty damning. Also failed to comply with the PL. Instead of throwing insults around then explain?

Well if you believe it, the PL knew all about these accusations but turned a blind eye.

It’s the red cartel which are directing the PL. If you believe otherwise that’s down to you.

I dont doubt the PL knew something was up and they probably did turn a blind eye so they could get the money that comes with the PL brand. But if Man City get off these charges or get a very weak punishment then whats to stop others (newcastle doing the same)? Breaking rules for 10 years of success and then just relegated a division. Its hardly a deterrant is it?

So what you're saying is they are guilty of fraud/cheating if the premier league 'knew about it? That doesn't make them innocent and that doesn't make it right.

I don't think it's the 'red cartel' that are pushing for it, it'll be a lot of clubs. I would argue Newcastle would want them punished as they are one of the richest clubs in the world but are restricted by the rules that Man City have alleged to have broken (pending appeal process). Also teams like us, Villa and maybe Brighton this season who tried to challenge but couldn't financially where Man City suddenly could. They would see that as unfair and rightly so.

You're quite aggressive in your replies without much substance. As it stands they have been found guilty of the charges pending on appeal.

The 'red cartel' is an angle for rumours but hasn't got much evident to back it up.

It's not unusual for people to prefer a conspiracy theory to the truth.

Red Cartel is just another phrase like "Mainstream Media" which is used to discredit conversations without any actual evidence to the contrary.

The Myth Of The Red Cartel And Pulling Up The Drawbridge https://share.google/DcvTJfgHK1E1TIeqe

Good read.

No it isn't, it's a load of absolute drivel written by a fan of a Big Six club (that's fact, by the way, not speculation, it's on his own profile) that's doing an intense amount of mental gymnastic to skirt around the issue and desperately pretend his club don't have an enormous unfair advantage.

I rolled my eyes through about 90% of it.

I think the fact its written by a Chelsea fan just makes it even funnier to read through

Let’s not forget they’ve only been charged for the years they were hacked.

it would be stretching all credulity to believe they stopped cheating in the years following which didn’t get hacked.

r/soccer - Manchester City’s commercial revenue after removing the sham revenue identified by the PL Commission

It's very hard to believe they haven't continued to cheat in the exact same way since 2018...

The Man City issue is just scratching the surface of what is wrong with the PL and likely to be for the WSL. It's not going to change anything.

The league wants scrapping and starting again with a new set of rules allowing all teams the same chance of success achieved on the pitch.

The Women's teams need to be divorced from their Men's teams and to stand alone under the same rules as the men.

If people think it can't be done well they did it similarly in 1992

For a laugh we could call it the English Super League

A good post.

Do you remember when Chelsea sold their own women’s football team to themselves?

It was sold for an incredibly inflationary £220m. It was said at the time that the whole of European women’s clubs wasn’t worth that in total!!!

But that was allowed because it was Chelsea.

Theyve now closed that ‘loophole’.

I agree, but sadly it will never happen.

We have adopted financial regulations designed to protect the status quo, and we then seen in the women's game the pure brutality when certain teams jumped to the top 2 divisions and a club was forcefully relegated to make room.

The natural order has meaning in football.

Supporters of these clubs are very keen to tell you how the rules are there for fairness without mentioning how skewed they are for the select few.

Oh I agree we'd be in dreamland.
