Think from the rumours in the window him and his agent were pushing upper championship/lower prem moves, I reckon by the time they lowered their aim most of the lower champ clubs didn’t have the wages available to sign him. Probably only been able to do this because we shifted Faes and got a fee

He did get 7G, 4A that season. Touches in the box is one of those stats that can be obfuscated with the team’s playing style. I wouldn’t read too much into those stats specifically - more the general view
